This was correct - it's all you can do, really.

Be aware that there's no certainty that if you can do it as you wish, directing your traffic to the page without the vendor's opt-in, you'll necessarily be setting a cookie on your prospective customers' computers. In which case, without doing that by some other means acceptable to both ClickBank and the product's vendor, you may get the "immediate" sales only, and not be paid your affiliate commission on all the "returning traffic sales". In other words, you'd be using ClickBank, but not using their affiliate cookie-tracking system. (And you surely wouldn't want to do that?).

You may be able to negotiate a solution to this problem with the vendor. One way in which this can be done (there are others) is for him to provide you with a separate sales-page, without his opt-in.

I'm not trying to put you off doing this, and there are certainly people who do it successfully, but it's not quite as straightforward as one might imagine.

The bottom line is that to do it safely and without breaching anyone's terms, you need the vendor's co-operation.

I have heard that some vendors may have a problem with this, I never have, I have asked them and they say no problem. Yet they don't know how to do it themselves. Do check and get their approval first, if they say no, perhaps use another vendors product. If they agree below is how you do it.

1. Log into your CB account
2. In the marketplace section find your product, RIGHT click on the title and COPY LINK LOCATION, it will look like this, (in this case etvcorp is the vendor, yours will obviously be different), PASTE this in something like notepad

h t t p://zzzz.etvcorp.hop.clickbank.net/

3. In place of zzzzz, input your user name, change the dot right after to an underscore, change hop to pay. The after / you will need to put a number. If the vendor only has one product it will be 1, if they have more you will just need to try different numbers starting at 1 and go up. The link will take you straight to the order page.

It will look like this

h t t p://username.vendor_pay.clickbank.net/1
