What Are "Order Form Submits" On Clickbank?

I'm wondering what the difference is between an "order form submit" and a sale on Clickbank....

Yesterday I had 8 order form submits but only 2 sales. What's the difference?

What's your ratio of order from submits to sales?

      Hi,

      Yes - an "order form submit" is literally what it sounds like: someone has clicked on the button on the order-form to submit their order to ClickBank.

      It's not the same as a sale.

      A sale occurs when an order (having been submitted) is satisfactorily processed by ClickBank. Things can go wrong between the two, such as ClickBank's failure to process the credit-card, the credit-card being declined, the credit-card turning out to have been stolen, the customer having previously been banned by ClickBank as a "serial refunder", PayPal (if used) having a problem, and so on.

      That said, 2 sales from 8 order-form submissions is pretty disappointing: one expects about 75% of them to lead to a sale. It does vary from niche to niche, though. In the IM, MMO and Forex niches, the proportions may be a bit worse, I think.

    Yea, usually the ratio of order form submits to sales is much higher (around 80% or so), but yesterday it was really low.

    I'll keep an eye on it over time and report back. Thanks!

    I just thought of something...

    Could there be multiple failed order form submits from the same person? Say...if they are having trouble with their credit card?

    Is anyone else having this problem recently? I just checked my other accounts and they are around 90% order form submits to sales.
