How can I give admin access to my Facebook Fan Page without Giving Access to my Personal Profile?

Hi Guys
I have a facebook fanpage for my biz, which I created using my personal profile. Now I am going to have another person manage my facebook fan page for my biz but I do not want to give this person access to my personal profile account...

So how to solve this?

Millions of thanks for your inputs..

    Hi Chloe,

Facebook Business "Pages" can have multiple "Admins" and the Admins do NOT have access to the other Admin personal profile accounts. In fact, if you are not Friends with another Admin, they will appear just like they would to any random person.

I will supply screenshots to prove if necessary

    I hope this helps.

Have the person like the page, and then you go to the page and click on the list of people that have liked the page (on the left of the page). From there, you can make any of them an admin of the page and they won't have access to your personal profile.

Do you not want them to log into your personal page or do you not want them to know who you are? Because I know admins can see who the other admins are. If it's the former, then you can just add another admin like everyone else said. If it's the former, then you're out of luck.

Thanks guys for your help...I can see that there are admins options of the fans..So I see that I can simply select any fan to become admin...

So do they then get a user name and password emailed to them or how does that work?

How can I know that it is not the same user and password as my personal profile?

    Sorry for all these questions...

    Many Thanks

No, they are just able to run your page as an admin from their personal profile now, in the Pages section. They won't ever have access to your personal account.

Thanks Jeffrey...If you want to set up a facebook company page for another company, do you set up a fan page from your own personal profile or which is the best way to proceed here? Sorry for all these questions...

Or is there such a thing like a Facebook Company Account (without the fan page?)...

Best way to do this is to set up the page on your personal profile and then transfer it to them by making them an admin of the page. Once they are an admin, they can remove you as an admin and the transfer is complete.

There is no such thing as a company account without the fan page. Businesses must use pages.

Thanks a million Jeff...I have one more question. So when I upload a video or say something in the facebook fanpage, then it also updates in my personal profile..

I do not want my friends from my personal profile to get business updates from my business fan page..Is there a way around this....

It seems like you are a social media guru so I will check out your social media course and maybe buy it cause I need to get up and running:-)

        talk soon...

          You're welcome.

Any updates or videos you load on the fan page are not posted to your personal profile, and vice versa. They are two separate entities.

    Chloe,

To make sure that anything posted to your business page does not show up in your personal profile to your friends, etc. - make sure that you FIRST CLICK ON the link on the right hand side that says "use facebook as yourbusinesspage" - that will allow you to interact as "yourbusinesspage" and NOT your personal profile

    I hope that helps.

If you're an admin of the page, anything you post on the page itself automatically gets posted as the page and not your personal profile anyway. But yes, when you use FB "as the business page", it will allow you to interact as the page itself, in terms of liking other pages, commenting on other pages as the page and not your personal profile, etc.

    Jeffrey Reidy,

Thank you - you are correct. "If you're an admin of the page, anything you post on the page itself automatically gets posted as the page and not your personal profile anyway."

For me personally, I like to make sure I first click use FB "as the business page" - just to make sure that when I "like" other pages, etc. for the business - that it reflects that
Otherwise, sometimes I forget and "like" pages via my personal profile.

Chloe is right "It seems like you are a social media guru so I will check out your social media course and maybe buy it cause I need to get up and running:-)"

    Thank you again.
