Can you help me test something out?

I'm trying the s2member WordPress membership plugin for a new blog at my Lawzilla.com site. As part of the installation I had to flip "on" in my PayPal account settings for payment data transfer, auto return, and include a customer return address on Lawzilla.

I'm wondering if that will affect my current PayPal product links / scripts and if they will still redirect to their right places? Or if customers will now be wrongly sent to the s2member install site?

Here's what I need tested:

1. A basic PayPal buy it now link.

2. PayPal link using the Simple Member Pro script.

3. PayPal link using the Amember script.

If you could let me know if you are redirected to the right product, and not to Lawzilla I would appreciate it.

Thanks.

Very happy to see everything is still working right.

It's odd that in PayPal you set an IPN or data return to go to a specific url, but then that url is ignored and everyone gets sent to the right place anyway.

I just discovered that if you set the price to a nickel PayPal takes the entire amount as a fee. I'll probably get a bill from PayPal for additional owed fees or have my account reviewed.

Thanks for the input, helping me out, and putting my mind at ease.

s2member is appealing because it is free to try and I can quickly upgrade to the pro version if I need to use a processor other than PayPal. Since you're using it and it's working that makes me feel better about relying on it.

    Brian,

The scripts that use PayPal should all create their own payment buttons. Those buttons will have settings that over-ride what you have set in your account, this is done so that each button created outside of the PayPal system will have its own settings and won't cause problems with what you have set internally.

As long as your WP plug in creates its own buttons it should not cause any problems with any other scripts buttons or settings.

Hell if your price is a dime, they will take it all too. In fact, I think they take the first $0.30 plus 2.9%+/-.

Try to refund it, they will take it again I believe.
