Do Affiliate Ads Count as Links?

When posting ads for your affiliates, does Google take this into consideration for page rank? For example, if you use Amazon's affiliate program and place an Amazon banner on your site, do you get the link juice? I know external links are not as important as internal links.

If you post an Amazon banner on your website, amazon will get the link juice from your website and you get nothing.

You only get the link juice from websites linking into you.

It's always a good idea to no follow those links .. and a lot of affiliate providers use Javascript links which don't show - usually to G.

For every link *out* that you send .. you lose some of your link juice for that page.

Don't be worries about a few small adds that aren't going to kill your SEO (an probably never affect it in the first place). Continue to build ON and OFF page SEO and backlinks, and you'll be fine.
Think of it then like tree's in the forest ... For every link you give out (cut down a tree), get 2 more links in (plant 2 new trees)..
