Are you opposed to face to face selling to businesses in your town? It will get you out of the house and it will cost you very little to get started. And you could pick up the "pocket money" you are looking for and feed you as you go.

EDIT: Plus it pays better than Mickey Ds for sure.

In a nutshell, you described it much better than what I ever could.

In terms, yes I do with everything here above, so you might as well just want to dive into it without delaying or thinking too much. Just plan as you go, work on getting a basic blog setup first.

There are tons of ways to make money online. Offline Marketing would the simplest to get started on.

Like I said there are tons of ways. If I were you I'd browse the forum making a list of all methods that you come across.

After doing so review your list, pick out 1 that you believe will suit you best.

Come up with a game plan and GET STARTED.

if you sit on you're butt nothing will happen. It won't be easy so don't expect to make big bucks with no work...

You will have to keep going.

Make sure you assign yourself work to do everyday. If you really want to make it then you can.

There's no one button solution, work hard and you'll achieve what you wish.

I made my first money online with Squidoo. It's fun, free, and you earn commissions from Amazon sales, plus if your pages do good enough you get money from an ad pool. I only have 15 pages up but I make a steady $25 a month from sales. People who have 100's of pages make more of course. Plus there is a lot of help there if you are new to html and other technical stuff. Just type in your search term in squidoo and you're sure to find a load of useful info. Hope this helps!

I'd like to back up the poster above for his suggestion that you familiarize yourself with Squidoo and use it to promote an affiliate offer and, as well, to gain your share with Squidoo on the Amazon sales.

It was the first place (about four years ago) that I started to make real money from and that money continues, and is growing to this day.

I brought a course (very inexpensive as I remember it - less than $40 from memory) and everything else was free, free, free :-)

I made my first sale in 2 days and in a week had more than recovered the little money I paid for the course.

Hey Jess welcome!

Suggestions to make money:

Take some time to:
- brain storm all the things you know a bit of information about already (might be related to your current study/job) and all the things you are passionate about
- Make a list of the things you think you are good at (things you excel at or find easy) and another list about what people tell you your good at
- A list of things you think you could talk about for ever without getting bored.

This is how I got started. You may find that in the end internet marketing is not for you. But from what I can see internet marketing is not just about affilliate marketing.

You can also:
- Sell advertising
- Create your own products or service
- Provide membership and charge for that
- Coaching
- and many more options. And thats just in the internet marketing field.

There was also a post in the forum somthing like "how to make quick money when I need it" about a month ago. Unfortunately I can't provide links here.

Other people make money from things like Selling on Ebay, Writing for other people, supplying a service (check out the 'fiverr' website as an example) and heaps more. I see so many opportunites on the internet.

After you work out what you want to do I suggest finding a mentor or someone who will lead you through the information minefield. Look for someone successful in the field that you have chosen, with a proven track record and who is willing to help others.

I flew half way round the world to find my mentor. And although I don't have much knowledge in internet marketing I found a mentor who is showing me how to build my knowledge while at the same time how to monitise my site along the way. I'm not saying you have to fly anywhere but make sure you find someone who you feel can help you.

I guess if you are serious about a business then like me you will realise that success won't come over night and that it will take time. The only way that I know of to become financially free overnight is to win the lotto!

Anyway good luck with your business and look me up when you're doing well as I love to hear peoples success stories! PS i did an interview with this guy and will be giving it away for free.. he talks about everything you need to make money online. I'll have it ready to give out in a couple of weeks. Hope its ok to say that here... if not ill remove it... but you can get it free so im guessing its ok to plug it?

Hi Jhill,

If you're not ready for the face to face type of jobs then I would suggest that you sign up as a freelancer online. There are many websites out there such as Odesk and Elance. Just choose the right category that fits your expertise. The amount of money you earn will depend on the effort you give out.

I have not tried auto blogging but this is what I do that will get you started fast if you put in some efforts. Start out with list building. You can get started with list building in a weeks time, it is not that difficult.

All you need to do is create a squeeze page and a free report that you can give away. With tons of PLR reports out there and even free brandable reports you get from others this should be superfast. This should not take you more than 2 to 3 days.

Now start driving traffic. I would recommend you to participate in forums and do article marketing if you are low in budget. Write 10 articles per day and post in 10 forums. You will see some leads coming in.

Ask your subscribers what are their problems. Now search for affiliate products that solves their problems and email them your affiliate link. You can search out paydotcom, clickbank, commission junction, etc.

The entire setup should not take you more than 1 week and you should see traffic, leads coming in within 15 days. If you do things right probably you should start making sales in your first month. From that point you can increase the speed of everything you do and setup a well oiled automatic cash machine...

There are lots of ways how to earn money online. You have to invest effort and probable most of your time. For it demands time most especially when you're new, time to learn and time to explore things. But 1st you have to think what you really like or love to do or what your good at. If you're good in writing, then there are place for you like the odesk, in which I also started 3 years ago. They pay you according to your work and performance as well. They are not only caters for bloggers but also for SEO, WEB DESIGN son and so forth. Others make huge of money by creating their own niche and sale it. Will, as what I said it depends on your interest and like they say your expertise.

Well seeing as i'm unemployed with no kids I have lots of time. It's just all really confusing. So much information and not enough brain memory to store it all lol.

  If you need to make some money fairly quickly then first of all forget all the talk about research this and research that. That's why people don't make progress, get stuck, and usually don't make much to start with.
  
  I can show you how to get a website up in under a couple of hours but how fast you make money will depend on how many visitors you can get to it. The same applies to articles, Squidoo, Facebook and just about everything else.
  
  Offering a service such as writing articles is usually the quickest way to make a bit of money but you still have to work hard to get your first few clients.

  You've no doubt seen the Warrior Special Offers section but did you know you can earn money as an affiliate for the ones running WSOPro.
  (Just look for the WSOPro buy button to find them).
  
  You can promote these WSO's anywhere such as forums, websites and most of the usual methods.
  
  It's very easy to do and you get paid straight away.

hi, well you could well be in for a roller coater ride, my only advice to you would be avoid information overload, to many people throw in the towell because they simply get so much info, they dont know which way to turn for the best. Having been online fulltime now for several year i have found CPA to be the quickest and simplest way to earn large amounts of money consistently, but like anything, you need to learn it properly. That's exactly what's going on. I'm hearing good and bad about everything and really don't know where to look.

Niche sites, blogging, autoblogging, adsense. Its just one thing after another but seeing as I'm a fighter I will figure this all out eventually.

It will be good if you can offer your service on the web like data entry, content writing etc. You can sell your services by making a blog or website. You can also get a job online from freelancing sites like odesk, e-lancer etc
