Is those offers like, exposing your website to 150 000 twitter followers or facebook friends are worth smth?

Do you actually receive some traffic or these thousands of accounts are being spammed to death and they really don't care or read these advertising tweets.

And what about link building?

I know it's just 5$, but still is there any value in these offers?

Please share you experiences, thanks!

I've bought a lot of gigs from fiverr, but I've avoided buying "traffic".

I dont know about twitter.. but buying facebook friends is dangerous.

Facebook has a concept called EdgeRank, kind of like Page Rank in google.

If you have a bunch of purchased friends and you have little real interraction with them, your Edge Rank goes down... when that happens, you can even find that people that you DO know, will not even see all of your facebook posts.. that's the downside.

Now, if somehow a bunch of purchased Friends (if they are real) do interact with you.. then you are ahead of the game.

That may be a matter of what you post.. if you just spam them with adverts or something, don't expect much interaction. If they're not real people, don't expect ANY interaction.

Here's a good article explaining edgerank

    http://www.socialmediaexaminer.com/6...-and-exposure/

    Hope that helps.

It's worth it to Fiverr: they take a staggeringly high 20% commission on every single order transacted there. It just surprises me, given all the competition they have, that they apparently continue to do so well ...

And the 20% commission I pay to Fiverr (sounds horrible but it's just a dollar), is well worth it for me as a seller to make $4 in 30 seconds, and more often than not, gain considerably more through my back end funnels.

To the original post... others have said it and I agree, there are many worthless gigs on Fiverr, but I have found some incredible values there also. Due diligence.

Some stuff on fiverr are not good enough for SEO campaign. As a buyer, we should be smart while choosing them. Some service may make our website received a warning signal from search engine.

          Choose wisely.

Wow! if you can make $4 in 30 seconds, then it's well worth it (from the seller's point of view anyway).

Just need to think of something to offer that can do the same

I tried a twitter gig about 18 months ago. Until today it was my only purchase on fiverr. When I looked at the list of accounts it had been tweeted to, and then looked at some of the tweets on those accounts it was obvious that it was a list of fake accounts made solely for the purpose of selling tweets.

      That didn't surprise me!

You have to be critical when using fiverr and think carefully about what might and might not be on offer.

I dipped my toes into the fiverr water again this morning, ordering 2 similar gigs from 2 separate sellers.

It's only a fiverr, so it's always worth a try. Just remember, you often get what you pay for!

When using Fiverr remember it has a social judgement system (ie, ratings) that can help you find a service provider that will deliver the value you require.

I have tried twitter and facebook services with nothing to show for it.... (wouldn't recommend)
I have also bought some backlinks with varied results... (choose wisely, don't choose scrape box blasts, etc. that claim to get you 30000 backlinks...) try to find gigs offering hand created links via forums, blogs, etc.

I just ordered an article submission and link pyramid gig from seomasterx. He offers buy 2 gigs get one free. Just received the reports, everything looks good. He's pretty helpful. So now I just have to wait to see if there's a serp increase.

I had also orders 2 $15.00 link pyramids on the wf, so it will be interesting to compare results. I've got 10 mfa sites so it starts to add up. But I definitely think fiverr offers some great deals. Look for positive ratings and talk to the seller before buying.

    • Unfortunately, positive ratings on link-building gigs won't tell you what you need to know, which is: Did this work?

People leave feedback right away, long before the effects of backlinks can be seen.

I can tell you the vast majority of backlinking gigs on Fiverr are worthless, as are Twitter and Facebook blasts.

Even buying a single high PR link is dubious since typically these are done on sites the seller doesn't control. Is it worth $5 to you to have a single backlink that only lasts for a couple of months, if that?

The more gigs the more difficult to find decent deals. Right now 5er is saturated. I would avoid getting anything related with twitter traffic. Twitter is very aggressive lately with their users. It disables people and tweets from search results (search fromyour username) to see if you're banned too)

I've purchased numerous services from 5er. I do so with this mindset, "it's only $5." Unfortunately, I think a lot of service providers feel the same way.

Consider this, let's say the provider is trying to make $100/day. Since they receive $4 of each purchase, they need to sell/fulfill on 25 sales each day. Realistically, can they fulfill the service they are fulfilling on 25 times in a 8-10 hour window?

If not, service is more than likely going to suffer. 5er is an investment like any other, that may or may not yield a positive return.

I certainly feel there are good workers on fiverr you just need to be careful in your selection. But, definitely worth the money! Especially if you've got alot of sites.

Adding a different twist to this question from the other side of the coin. It doesn't worth at all if you're offering a service there. Your gig will be buried among 1000s others and the moderators there i can't say they do a proper gig rolling. Useful stuff may remain hidden and crap gigs to be frontpage for a long time. Sometimes i think that especially the frontpage girls maybe girlfriends of the people there

I'll agree that I get pretty tired of seeing the same featured sellers all the time. I wish they would have more rotation.

If you want Fiverr to smile upon you, you need to promote your gigs heavily via social media. They're obsessed with Twitter and Facebook. I thought I was being clever by sending out a gig to my list of 4,000 people -- but that traffic got me no Fiverr love.

I've only use backlinking services on fiverr, the last $10 of backlinks I purchased from a Fiverr seller moved my site from page 3 to the third spot on google so I would use this service again.

There are also a lot of guys on the wso forums selling their services at premium prices and you are just paying for some person from fivver or Odesk or somewhere to do the job anyway!

Yeah, I have noticed one particular warrior outsourcing all of his SEO to Fiverr... His Fiverr name and warrior name is the same and he buys wayyyy too many gigs on Fiverr to be using them all personally. Is that in accordance with the rules of this forum? He charges around $15 per package on here.

Also definitely avoid the traffic generation gigs where they say they'll blast your link to xx,xxx Twitter followers/Facebook fans. I have tried several of them and have not found a single one that gave me any additional traffic at all.

The only way you could know that is if he leaves feedback. Why would he do that? It's not mandatory.

This is your, what, 3rd post here and already you know who the players are? Maybe it's just me, but this feels a little sockpuppety.

One good way to protect yourself is use a link tracking service like bit.ly

Give the fiverr seller the tweet with the bit.ly link in it and inform them you will be tracking it. If you don't get the agreed amount, reject it

You've got to be a little careful with Fiverr, but there are some very worthwhile gigs that really are a tremendous bargain at $5.00. There are some great deals on fiverr, for example article submission to blog networks. UAW costs over $60 per month, but if you're only submitting a few articles a month, $5 per article is a MUCH better price... In fact, by submitting one spun article to a couple of fiverr gigs you can get the effect of high priced article distribution services.
