PayPal India - Good News!

Hi there,

I couldn't find mention of this anywhere on this forum, so thought appropriate to start a new thread.

PayPal India has recently done away with the withdrawal fee of Rs.50 for amount withdrawn to Indian bank accounts. So now you don't have to wait till you accumulate Rs.7000 (or the equivalent in dollars), so as to bypass the Rs.50 withdrawal fee.

I just did two withdrawal transactions right now (from separate accounts), both individually less than Rs.7000, and there was no fee in either of these transactions

Regards

Thanks for letting me know. Didn't realize this while withdrawing the Rs. 3000 last week. I guess this has to do with the new PayPal policy to withdraw funds within 7 days of their receipt into your PayPal account.

edit: Guess the fee was waived only recently. You can clearly spot the difference when you go to the withdrawal page.

      Yeah.

I also think that this has to do with the auto-withdrawal feature that they have implemented.

In any case, at last something has worked in our favor

I think you can still sell stuff to anybody provided they have a credit card attached to their PayPal account.
