Whats the most efficient way to....

Hey warriors,

Real quick question. Whats the best way to track when building a list? I'm doing 2 different ad campaigns at the moment with (twitter) and (Facebook). I will be doing article marketing soon as I get the articles I outsourced.

I want to get more organized, so i know where they are coming from. I got two leads in the last day ( I know it's not much but it's something ) but I have NO idea where they came from.

I'm paying for Facebook Ads and Twitter is free. So I would like to know if Facebook isn't worth the money if I'm getting my leads from twitter or vise versa. I dont want to waste time with twitter if Facebook is getting me the leads.

Do I create a separate page for each Ad campaign ?

For example should it be like this.

www.bbbbbbbb.com/1 - Twitter
www.bbbbbbbb.com/2 - Facebook

Or is there an easier way?

Thank you everyone for the help If it wasn't for warriors I Probably wouldn't be as far as I today. I can't wait till i'm really successful and can contribute back.

    Hey ttcbird

i'm new to internet marketing only been at it a month, during that time i have been working on building a list using different resources. In order for me to see which ones work the best i add tracking names to all my hyperlinks, so i know which lead came from which resource, i think this is what your asking to find out.

when i do a link to 1 of my squeeze pages i add a tracking name to the end of my link referring to the resource i used.

    for example.

if i am using facebook ads say to drive traffic to a squeeze page, my squeeze link will look something like this.
    ...www mysqeezepage.com/?tid=fbookads

then i paste this link through bit.ly or budurl to shorten it (to make it look a little neater)

What will happen is when i check my list software for new leads, if it shows that 2 new leads were generated, it will show the hyperlink they used, and the hyperlink will contain the fbookads, so i will know these leads came from the link i posted on facebook.

It sounds a little confusing but once you done it a few times its fine. what you could do is set-up 2 links to track were your leads are coming from.

    for e.g.
    www.bbbbbbbb.com/?tid=twitt
    www.bbbbbbbb.com/?tid=fbookads

notice how the link would be the same but the tid part will let you know when you check your stats which leads came from tid fbook and which leads came from tid twitt.

    hope this helps
