That's a lie! A big lie!

    Internet marketing is definitely not easy especially at first. It gets easier as you get better and actually start to realize how and what to do to make money online. But for newbies it is a challenge getting to this point.

    If you think it is easy and you are just starting out your in for a rude awakening...


    But there is the possibility to make a ton of money once you get the correct systems in place and listen to more experienced marketers who have been there and done that.

    Soak it all up like a sponge all you newbies out there reading this post.

    The workload is hard. The hours you have to put in aren't easy. In 7 minutes, I'll have been doing 24hrs straight.

    Not getting distracted or doing pseudo-work is pretty tough.

    Making money is quite straightforward. There is no big secret to that part.

    I think it depends on your Risk factor and applying fundamental business logic and analysis to your business.

    I think building a list is a great way to get started in IM through paid or free traffic, if you have a full time job. Don't spend that next 100 bucks on the pokies or some lame deal of the day. Build your assets, build your list!

    Then test and test again until you break even or are profitable - then just run as many solo ads as you can!

    Think about the LOGIC in that.

    IM is definitely not for the people looking to make a quick buck.

    Maybe it used to be, but these days there are way too many people making a living out of it that it is becoming more saturated (not that it will ever become fully saturated!).

    You have really got to LOVE what you are doing and have the determination to make it work.

    If you are in IM you are probably here because you feel that being RICH is about having TIME and having a free lifestyle, not about being a millionaire.

    The first year is hard and you will be really busting your tale at the computer for long hours (if you have time), and learning will be your priority.

    After you learn enough to bring in your first couple of checks it will be your incentive to keep going and scale up to earn a great passive income for life

    I agree that it's a lot of work. Not sure that I agree that it's hard work. There are so many business models out there that work and if people just took action and stuck with them, they'd see results.

    Seems to me though that people get easily distracted, chase a different model each week, and like to consider reading Facebook and browsing the WF "working"...

    It can take a long time and may require patience to achieve the results people are searching for. I can tell you 100% without a doubt though that working construction or being a janitor is much harder work... I set in front of a computer for 10 hours a day, get to listen to music, take breaks whenever I want, and take weeks off at a time with no repercussion... I wouldn't consider that a hard job...

      When I was young I worked on a ranch and baled 300lb bales of hay by hand!

      When I was an Electronics Technician in Silicon Valley, I commuted 2 1/2 hours one way to work... worked all day for guy that must have been a Nazi and drove 2 1/2 hours back home...Every day!

      Now my commute is rounding the corner from my bedroom into my office and the heaviest thing I haul is my king-sized coffee cup!

      Which is "Harder" :confused:

        I work a full time job plus 2 other paid jobs and still crank out sites and ads every month.

        Because my time is so restricted for internet marketing I basically have had no choice but to outsource alot of the tasks and I'm happy that I did. I still do a lot of the easy and critical stuff.

        If I can do it! You can do it!

    It really depends what you compared internet marketing to. If you compare it to a job of an investment banker, internet marketing is definitely easy.

    If you do it right, the results of internet marketing could be astronomical and beat an investment banker.

    Well, I've been involved in building website for a number of years both personally and professionally and during that time, off and on I've been involved in internet marketing in the loose term and I've made money. Selling domain names and working with affiliates. etc...

    So in a sense it's easy? Not really because it depends on your definition of easy. If you're not willing to invest every waking moment into the idea and if working 16 house a day to help others is hard then... it's hard. But if you love helping people and doing research (lots of research) then it easy. So to speak.

    That's my take.

    I have read an article that says Internet Marketing is easy; by following the steps and you can start earning some money. But as I was reading it, I was thinking, what is this guy trying to say that IM business is that easy?
    Internet Marketing is not for everyone, who wishes to earn some money. I mean, yes, internet is accessible to anyone but doing business such as internet marketing, that guy should think again.
    A person has to have patience, determination, hard work, persistency, and focus to be successful in the Internet Marketing world. Not everyone can be successful, and as a matter of fact, there are a lot of people who attempts to try Internet Marketing as a source of instant earning of money, but after a week or even a month, quits because the common reasons are: they were not earning after a few weeks; they were earning but with small figures; and doesn't have the commitment to focus on their work and they will try to have more ideas and concepts of doing IM business at the same time.

    Wow, thank you for responding to this post.

    You may have noticed "newbies" being given advice on the forum in the form of "The barriers are low...etc."

    If we are honest, in the first couple of years, for most people, waiting tables in an upscale restaurant is way more lucrative.

    It's also much "easier" to become good in almost any field, become a consultant and charge huge fees.

    You will probably agree that your business will make the most money when you don't place artificial restrictions - such us offline or online.

    What you do is say to yourself "Where are the people who are willing and able to give me money?" and simply go there!

    It's not at all easy. In fact, at first it takes a LOT of work without knowing if it's even going to result in actual money. It's a lot more work than I ever anticipated, and it's easy to see how very few people would be willing to put in the time and effort necessary.

      But it is a lot of work, and the truth is that most do not like work, they like fast systems.

      my 2 pence: If you (not OP, but anyone) are struggling try selling some real tangible products and leave IM opportunities to those that are experienced and good at it - like I did.

        I've been working from Thailand for the last few months. I'm currently working in a cafe in Samui...

        It's taken me years of experience online, and at least 3 months of 10 hour days to get where I am now... now everything is extremely streamlined.

        Some people are lucky though.. and hit a trend before it explodes :rolleyes:

          When I said it was easy, I did not mean fast, or without hard work. The main principles are easy (if you don't get distracted and just do what actually makes money: Write Content, Build Links - not thinking you are working because you are on the WF etc) I myself worked my ass off for over 2 years before I was able to do what I am currently (and that is not including all the time spent educating myself).

          The main principles are easy - the hard work and dedication without ever really knowing if it will all work out are hard.

    I wouldnt say its easier. But it has less obstacles (in some areas) when compared to an offline business.
    You need to know how to use those to your advantage. For example there are many things you can do online that you can't offline. At the same time there are many things you can do offline that you can't do online. You got to know which is which and then use it to your advantage.

    yes, definitely IM is not an easy task. I have put 6 years of pain to know what i know today. What I have learned is to succeed in IM you have to take it to the end. You just cannot expect to have one product in your system and be an internet millionaire.

    You have to have a product funnel, squeeze pages, build list, generate massive traffic, build relationship, keep testing everything and finally leverage, automate and outsource. You have to learn one thing at a time and be patient to put everything in place...

    Internet Marketing can be hard or easy. It depends on a few things.

    1. It depends on the users interest. Some individuals might not have the desire to get into learning about Internet Marketing. To them it is hard. But those with the interest to take on the challenge, it is easy for them.

    2. It depends on your competition. Some businesses only have local competitors. They will have less of a challenge. If you market around the nation, it will be difficult because you will have a lot to compete with.

    3. Reading certain Internet Marketing books can be a big boost. "For Dummies" master with a lot of projects. Those books can be a big help.

    4. "What you don't know won't hurt you." A lot of individuals do not know the full procedure to marketing. Some just know a few baby steps. They might think that is all there is to know. The project will seem easy to them. Later they might learn a few more things. They usually learn by taking a few steps at a time.

I mean I became an overnight success ...if overnight consists of 6 years of making no money at all, in fact spending Thousands on coaching and training etc before finally making consistent money.     Understanding easy concept does not mean that the implementation is easy. Most people want to be rich like most of the successful marketers online but they are not prepared to commit the amount of work and time that is required to get the results.

    I agree with many fellow warriors here that works have to be done in order to get results. It is just a matter of whether you do the work by yourself or you paid other people to do the work.

    I think internet marketing is so hard for the first time. But from the work hard you can learn from the mistakes. Trial and error for a several technic of internet marketing. Be creative to get people attract to your product.

    It's more to how you self yourself. Because the sell product in the internet is about how you make people trust to buy your product.

    Well it's not easy in the way that it isn't a magic bullet for making money.

    But it's easier than most professions since you don't need formal education,
    qualifications, you can quickly learn the basics, you can work from home,
    work in your own time, you need very little money to start.

    Of course it takes work and time to be successful, but that is true for
    just about any other profession there is.

    Once you learn the basic skills it , the selling, is not that difficult, although it is a skill

    the tough part is learning to get traffic but even that after you learn how is not as difficult

    I would sure not trade it for putting on a suit and working 9 to 5 I have not had a real job in 20 yrs
