How Many Sites Do You Have?

I'm curious about how many sites you guys have, especially the bigger internet marketers. So far I just have 5 micro niche sites up and figured that it's a good number of sites to have in the beginning stages of internet marketing.

So how about YOU?

I have around 120 from my early days, but focus my time and attention on 2-3 quality product / idea based sites at a time now. Lately just 1. A Quality site can do just as well as 100 crappy sites. However 100 crappy sites can do just as well as 1 quality site. The number here is somewhat irrelevant as far as how successful an internet marketer is.... Content spammers are a whole different story. Spread enough manure in the pasture and some poor farmer will step in it.

I have just over 50 websites that we are working on, but most of the revenue comes from 1-2 websites.

If you are counting the high PR network as well, the number goes up to 180.

Oh my bad.. I forgot around 35 exact match domains! We have been registering these domains and they are ranking very high in the SERPs with a very small number of links

I used to have 10+ but sold/cancelled some. It's better (in my case) to have a few very good websites, than having 20+ of trash

I agree with this statement... I have about 7 quality niche blogs floating around. When a blog doesn't take off like I want it to, I either let it die and drop the domain or I flip it and cash out.

I have about 3 sites that sell my own products and that's where the real money comes from.

      Matt

P.S. I own about 150+ domain names though... I get good ideas, buy the domains, and then never move forward.

I have about 110 fully automated auto-blogs right now. I mainly use them to beta test my auto-blogging plugin for WordPress (well, as well as making money).

I'll probably make another 300-400 sites the next month when I'll finally finish my automated keyword research and domain finder tool.

After a few hundred auto-blogs I guess I have to create a few 'real' sites soon heh

I usually like doing all my sites in one domain. I simply use subdomains per site. Currently I have more than 1,000 sub-domains.

  • So far I only have 2 sites, hopefully more in the future.

I do not move onto the next site before it is either how I want (earning a certain amount), or if I can see it is a failure, drop it.

Income is not determine by the number of sites we have but by the number of site we are able to successfully ranked.

I use to have about 11 sites and none was making more than $20 a month until i decided to focus them one after the other.

Unless of course we have a business model, like some Warriors, which produces a huge annual income without depending on search engine traffic or on rankings at all. For some online businesses income is determined, for example, by attracting highly targeted traffic without SEO being relevant at all. "Organic traffic" from search engines is only one way of earning money. There are many others.

        • We have a few thousand sites that we use mostly for testing. But as a few people have said before, it's generally easier to make real money with a few high-quality sites.

I have 45 domain names and about 15 sites that are complete.

When I was doing some keyword research last week I found an adsense id with over 35000 sites listed.

At One point in time I had close to 200 different websites. I have let many of those domains expire. Currently I have close to 20 that specifically belong to me, although I typically will only focus on one at a time and there are few that are projects that I chip away at when I have time (my own products etc).

I have 12 websites at the time but none of them is bringing me the amount of money desired. In my opinion,it's better to have 1-2 sites fully monetized instead of having 20 or 30 or more, and none of them is monetized properly.

Great question, typically seems to be a common pattern. many of us myself included have a tonne of sites, but end up filtering the less, or non-performers, and focusing on the true performers, which are much easier to address with attention to detail, in a smaller quantity.

I have about 10. For the most part its product sites. Products I own and have created. Three are niche sites for adsense revenue (its something new I'm trying). I have a good bit of domains and I would say a good bit of my sites are not active, meaning I dont play an active role in either adding content or promoting it.
