Press Releases & Affiliate Blogs?

Hey guys,
Actually I'm kind of bored and feel like i don't learn/do anything new and stuck with my CPA stuff so i decided to do some SEO : )

Now everything is crystal clear to me except the press releases stuff, how am i gonna write a press release about an affiliate blog? I think they can be written only about businesses and such because it need to have a mailing address and a phone number (should i fake these too?).

Basically what I'm asking here is what can i write about an affiliate blog and even if i outsource how does it work?

    A good way to get some ideas is to visit the press release sites themselves and look at what others are doing. Here are some ideas to get you started.

    1. Announce the launch of your site - "More Help Has Just Arrived For "Your Niche" Enthusiasts.

    2. If you review products - Affiliate Blog XYZ Has Just Released Their List of Top Ten xyz

    3. Write a Release About a Product Your Reviewing - Affiliate Blog XYZ Names Product XYZ as the Top Your Niche Category for 2011

    Some PR services want more contact info than others and some don't require much at all. The idea behind Press Releases are for not only backlinks and SEO but for Traffic and exposure. So the ultimate traffic booster would be to have an actual media outlet contact you for an interview or statement though that's rare. It might be worth it to use a single PO Box for all your Affiliate Sites or otherwise a Fake address is ok if required and you're just after links and traffic from readers.

    Search news sites and such for things happening in or around your niche. Write a news article or press release (some sites demand a properly formatted press release, while some are fine with a news-angled article) about it and fit in a link to your site.
