Popup for my Blog

I am thinking about writing a blog and would like to put on a popup with a opt-in does anybody know of a plugin to do this?

I don't know about any plug-in, but aweber works great for such a thing. I use that for my blog.

I second Wordpress Popup Plugin

Simply the best I have seen because it allows you to publish and manage an unlimited number of different popups on any post or page.

Additionally for me it solved one of the major issues I had with wordpress publishing which is how to embed previously impossible or hard to post content such as javascripts etc and this plugin has an anchor feature that allows me to position the content whether popin or just an embedded media player anywhere I want in the page or post.

I have found nothing else on the net that can do what this plugin does for me.

The major benefit of http://www.wordpresspopupplugin.com/ over the others is its ability to let you put and unlimited number of different unblockable popins on any page or post either as a popup style or anchored right in the page.

Hi Rob

There's one chap here that has done a WSO for wordpress pop-in and making an auto opt in - have tried it out. I have pasted the chaps name as follows "Seree Woradechjamroen"

He has a WSO about a month ago for about $10 - it may be worth checking out

It may save you a bit of hassle.

The other thing I thought I would bring up (hopefully you take this the right way) - if you are going to use an opt in you need an an email responder i.e. aweber or get response (no use collecting emails otherwise)!

Couldnt see a demo in the Action Pop so dont really know what im getting for my $$$.
I liked the Lightbox effect in Maxblogpress, but you said it wasnt as good as the other two.
The wordpress popup plugin seems to have more functions than just an opt-in and it works with aweber as ashwinsatyanarayana has mentioned above.
Have you tried to setup any of these on a blog?

Yes, youtube and any other including self hosted. Its really quite a powerful multipurpose dhtml content tool that is great for the popups as well as use with other usually hard to post content.
