I have had the best luck in the past with facebook by offering something FREE of VALUE that the potential subscriber is likely to share with his/her friends that will win you a bit of viral traffic. The main objectives of facebook marketing is viral traffic, and getting your fans subscribed to your list and down the sales funnel.

From my experience products posted directly on fan pages do not perform as well as luring list subscribers with free items and selling to them later down the road. Hope this helps.

That's some pretty interesting insight.

I too haven't gotten into FB marketing yet either.
It's on my to do list for sure.

In that case I would start by creating a fan page. Visit facebook .com/pages/ and click on "create page"

This guide on mashable does a great job of walking you through the entire process.

HOW TO: Set Up a Facebook Page

Once you create a page you will want to add a welcoming tab to your page

HOW TO: Create Welcome Tab For Facebook Fan Page Within 2 Minutes

Create a graphic for the welcoming tab that says .. Click the like button above, and opt-in to my email list for "this special report" "free download" etc etc ...

I had trouble finding non videos, one 42 page plr with a giveaway option is the Facebook Wealth Formula.

There are tons of video courses out there noteworthy for me were "Facebook Mastery Summit" with a bunch of specialests speakers, but it's $997 choke.

Those are good suggestions, however I would recommend just sticking to the basics above ... it's easy to get lost in the fluff of a lot of the ebooks that are available out there.

For now I suggest taking action on the basics, and learn the advanced along the way. It's so easy to get wrapped up into the "learning phase" and forget to take action.

When looking for facebook traffic, keep in mind that a large % of internet users ARE logged into facebook, sometimes cheaper traffic sources are just as effective for capturing leads from facebook as buying the traffic from facebook itself.
