The governor of Tennessee should read a few California newspapers. Since the Internet tax was imposed in California two things have happened:

    1. The unemployment rate has gone up (now the 2nd highest in the nation)

    2. State revenue collection has significantly dropped and the budget once again has a massive deficit.

    .

Don't confuse legislators with the damned facts!

Seriously though, I would expect both of those outcomes, but I don't know if there has yet been enough time for the Internet tax to have caused the effects you mention.

I love the state government's attempt to rob people of more money, and Amazon saying.. oh yeah? F-that, we're out.

I've been seeing commercials for this throughout my state. They say "small business's can't compete"...b.s.

Well, aren't the affiliates "small business" too? But it's okay to knock them out of business I guess.

      Peace

This is a tough one, unfortunately once a precedent is made in one state, such as the Amazon case , it creates a justification for others to follow. What state isn't hungry for more tax revenue, lets hope for the best.
