Selling over Clickbank lowers conversion?

Hey warriors

me and my partner sold for a few month a product using Paypal as gateway and we had some consistent conversions.

Since last week we checkout over Clickbank and saw that our conversion rate dropped.

As that traffic comes from organic searches, I only can imagine that they have some issue with the Clickbank order page when they hit the buy button.

Assuming that you have a product at Clickbank and some experience, is that a false conclusion?

If yes, can that order page be customized or is there anything you did to get back to your normal sales conversion.

Off course the positive part is the inclusion of Affiliates, that's why we launched it there in the first place.

Interested to hear your ideas.

G.

    Of course.

And the ability to find affiliates relatively easily because at ClickBank, affiliates get paid automatically without becoming dependent on the vendor for payment, which makes it attractive for them.

This may vary quite a bit from niche to niche, but in general more people have heard of PayPal and a higher proportion of people are willing to pay by PayPal than they are to pay ClickBank. They can, of course, pay ClickBank by PayPal anyway but that still worries some people. It's the (relative) downside to using ClickBank. Let's hope you get plenty of affiliates and then it'll matter less. In the long run, you can easily have done the right thing.

thank you very much, it means a lot to get a great feedback from someone experienced like you.

I just talked with my partner and we maybe run a different sales page using Paypal only as in the beginning, so OUR traffic will have Paypal, and affiliate traffic will have CB as processor.

But it's good to know that this is not a un-usual fact so we can take some action to get back to the old level.

I know large groups of people who refuse to buy from clickbank because they have a general idea that anything sold there is junk and a scam. I still sell something there, but just letting you know that among people who have heard of them, that's not always a good thing.

Hopefully ClickBank enforces their new policy at the end of August and cleans things up. Then in a few years they will be a more trusted source for quality products.

Another interesting thing is that clickbank hop links are reported by some browsers as "Possible malware or fishing sites" This message comes up everytime you post a hop link on Facebook for instance.

This is annoying because although I am sure there is plenty of fraud being conducted on Clickbank, they have been singled out unfairly.

What more could a customer want besides an automatic, no questions asked 60 day refund policy that actually refunds like they say (sometimes to our own detriment".

Maybe the changes they have made to their policy on products that they will accept will help change the perception that many people have of "clickbank"

The one thing WE can do as marketers is to not promote products that have misleading ad copy, hire paid actors to reveal the "secrets" that some secret billionaire gave to them and push button automated systems. Unfortunately, even many warriors continue to not only endorse these products, but create them as well.

Greed needs to stop in this industry. Internet Marketing is a legitimate money making opportunity for many folks and there is plenty of room for people would good sound business ethics to succeed online. We need to ban together and stop the srpead of these crap products and promote sound marketing advice.

I like the quote (I believe it was Zig Ziglar) "You can have anything that you want in life, you just have to help enough people get what they want"

OUr entire industry would benefit if more people took on that philosophy rather than fall for lures of getting rich with pushing a button schemes.

I use Clickbank, Paydotcom, and a regular non-affiliated paypal button for my products. Overall, I still find Clickbank to be the best combination of ease of use and income.
