Experience- Good or Bad with Squidoo

Okay, let me rephrase this question, as I believe I am being overlooked because I am new here. I simply want to ask you, the experts, if you use Squidoo and if you have luck with using it. Do you use it to see or advertise on, and does it work.

upside - build a really good lense and you can make some money

downside - takes a long time to build a really good lense

Thank you.. I wasn't sure if anyone here actually used Squidoo and if it was worth the trouble.

just my own experience but there is a learning curve associated witht the site itself. I've built 3 and they take some time.

I would guess that if someone here is "good at it" it wouldn't take as much time and they may have learned what gets a lenz ranked higher.

If there is someone like that here, maybe they could write up a guide and post it in the WSO forum for us!

The best way to Use squidoo is to build a lens with alot of content that is optimized for 1 keyword....

Then build alot of links to that lens so that it ranks high in Google.

You can get alot of traffic as well as PR from Squidoo.

The best lenses have reviews of products or services. People like to read those!

And your subject may not have been interesting enough to be opened by most... which is why you need to get help if you ever do an email campaign.

Squidoo is GREAT for

-- putting a review/sales page for a clickbank AFFILIATE product
-- then emailing a bunch of people you already know could use it
and pointing them to the product "I just bought & love"

I use Squidoo quite a bit, mainly to promote Amazon products. It is working very well for me, especially over the Christmas shopping season.

There are many ways to use Squidoo, and a great community.

You should not expect many replies to your post just 1hr 23mins after your initial post. Let some more time pass. Squidoo has been discussed many times on this forum. If you go to the main forum you can use the search function for the keyword squidoo and you will find 20 pages of threads that already mentioned squidoo. Better yet, you can do an advanced search of the main forum, using the keyword squidoo but searching titles only and you will see threads that have squidoo in the titles, which is about 5 pages.

I think Tiffany Dow is the resident Squidoo expert, just do a search of her posts and WSO's.

Should learn plenty from her.

The question was so broad I wasn't going to answer. Yes, it's great! Yes, people make good money from it if they know what they're doing. Doesn't take a long time to build - takes me 30 minutes tops.

YouTube has many video tutorials from myself (username TiffanyDow) and many others.
