Moving from Weebly to Wordpress

My site (made on Weebly) is over 150 pages and I am considering moving to it self hosted Wordpress.

Is there an easy way to do this (my guess is no) or will it just be cut and paste monotonous job?

If I use Freelancer or a similar site (maybe warriors for hire) - do you have any idea what the cost would be?

site -- robthetutor (dot) com

Thanks for your advice.

You can import in worpdress from the import option in wordpress from other sites.. or download the xml file of the weebly and then upload it on wordpress

Over 150 Pages... You'd probably be looking at over $1,000 to get it switched over. I don't know about any automated way to go from weebly to wordpress. Just my two cents - also you're website url you provided is a godaddy landing page.

Thanks for pointing that out. If I type robthetutor.com in the address bar - it brings me to a godaddy page. If I type native english teacher - Private English Teacher | private English lesson | native English teacher - it brings me to my website.

Is there something I should fix so that when someone types robthetutor.com into the address bar my website will load instead of the godaddy landing page?

You could also get someone on Fiverr to do that for you on the low. But at 150 pages, it might be a steep to much..

Yes - I suspect the problem there is that you don't have the domain-name without the www redirected to the "www" subdomain. This is something you can change in the registrar's interface, and/or ask them for help in doing so. It ought to take about 2 seconds to do.

This very recent thread will interest you, too (but read the whole thread because as I remember some of the earlier posts - corrected later - are completely mistaken!).

Good luck with your "move", if you try it. (Call me eccentric, but personally, I prefer Weebly to Wordpress.)
