519 optins in one day!

I was struggling very hard to get leads. Apparently one of my articles got featured on Digg's home page for "this hour's top stories."

Here is something that can help you generate more optins.

I got somewhere around 6000 visits and 519 optins.

Here is how you can do it.

Write a super high quality article that genuinely provides value. So if you want to write a super awesome article, here is how you can do it.

Use a "top 5" and "Top 10" style.

In the list of top 10, use ten 1 minute videos that explains the point. Now write a short paragraph describing the tip.

In my case I used 3 one minute video and 2 ten minute videos, all created by me with no pitch at all.

Post some links to useful RELEVANT resources at the bottom. Use one image with alternative text as your main keyword.

Post all the videos on youtube and other sites. I used traffic geyser.

So now you can get traffic from videos too. And since you are not just helping people by providing useful information you are also developing a relationship.

Once you've completed that articles and your 1 minute video series, you've got a great article. People are looking for this type of content.

Now make it viral, distribute it on all the major social network. IF the article is awesome people WILL hit the like button, +1 and tweet it. Everybody wants to share awesome content.

Use popup domination or any software like that to create exit popups and give away some really valuable stuff. Also put an optin form on the widget, in my case, I only used exit popup. Try not to make it annoying.

You WILL get optins.

I got 519 optins in just few hours.

I was writing all sorts of article and posting it on ezine articles and haven't generated this types of results.

You can also use PPC traffic to get leads. This seems to be converting well and you won't face any google slap.

This may seems a little hard but it pays, and yes IM isn't that easy.

Good luck, try it.

@samples and davidjons: Just a heads up that there is a thanks button on the forum.

Both of you are posting a lot of short, one-line responses that look suspiciously like you are trying to boost your post numbers rather than make any worthwhile contribution to the discussions or threads in which you are posting.

The original poster put a lot of thought and work into this post. Surely you can think of something original to contribute?

Expressing thanks is always going to brief. Nothing wrong in that.
Yeah, I agree with that. Sometimes when you read a great article, watch a great video or do something similar, you just want to tell others that you enjoyed watching or reading that thing

Great post harrel, thanks for that.
You got any suggestions on the best places to post your articles (written ones that is)? Do you use an article submission service?

I never used an article submission service. Although you do need to syndicate your content once it is approved and indexed in Google.

The best place to post an article is your own blog. But if you recently started blogging and don't have a good page rank then here is a great way of building reputation and backlinks.

Research in your niche and see the websites that has more exposure in that area.

Ex: if you are writing on dating, try to get your content on websites like askmen.com and relevant websites. Write 5 GREAT articles on your own blog, and then call'em or contact them and say that you wanna contribute some "no pitch" articles on their website. Send them 2 sample of the best articles you've ever written.

If you've got a great copy, they will consider your request and if this thing worked, you'll generate a ton of traffic to your website, social proof, backlinks and authority.

This tactic was used by Eben Pagan for his DYD project. He still write for askmen.

This is not easy, but if you can commit and get this thing done right, you'll save a lot of pain in the butt when it comes to traffic and authority.

What they see is your ability to write in an entertaining way that keeps user engaged.

So here is how you can do that:

      1. Don't write like jargon
      2. Be specific
      3. The passive voice should be rewritten
      4. Stay on topic
      5. Edit like crazy

If you post your article on ezine articles, the only thing you'll get is a PR 6 back link. So I don't usually post articles there. I hire free lancers to write articles for websites like ezine articles.

So target website WHERE YOUR TARGETED AUDIENCE ARE HANGING OUT.

The biggest myth when it comes to going viral is that you can control it, the truth is that you can just give it an ignition, and then your content will decide its worth.

to get attention, just simply do a research, go to cracked.com and see the headlines that are getting the most views.

Edit that headline to suit your content, your headline MUST reflect your content properly.

Great job. Interesting though as I've been thinking lately at how much more productive we would be if instead of suffering through another video the author could have summed it up in a written paragraph or two.

Ah, you got din't got it right bro. The technique here is to think like you're creating a mini course and not just writing a mere article, you have to think the results the content consumer will get after going through your content.

Millions of people are writing articles, you have to stand out in an order to win.
