Dumb Aweber + Custom Website Question

Hi guys

I have not used Aweber in a long time and was wondering if someone could please answer my quetsion.

I use a custom built cms with a pretty basic user management area where i keep information such as user name and emails (similar to a basic joomla database).

Recently I have acquired quite a large database of emails that i would like to contact but I cant remember if aweber integrates well with custom systems or if it allows migration of data.

And on top of that, im wondering if its even worth using aweber seeing as I have my own cutsome built system which i can further develop to make as good a system as the pros use.

Sorry if im rambling im in a hurry

If you are wanting to manage people in Aweber, they will need to opt in.

You can import them, but they will still need to opt back in to be in the Aweber database.

Aweber and it's policies are horrible for integration. The best 3rd party services for integration are as follows.

      Get Response
      iContact
      Analytic Approach
      Listrak

What do you mean, could you elaborate please?

Basically i want to promote my website to a massive email database. I could do it via my own system, but the server will not handle the task so that is one of the reasons for considering aweber not to mention that I think its a good all round tool.

From memory getresponse can get expensive as they charge based on email size.

I never look at price, I look at profit. I picked those in no particular order, but based on easy integration with other systems based on either api or the ability to curl post the form data. I look at will it seamlessly integrate without adding another layer to have to manage. I then factor in delivery quality and support staffs knowledge of integration. If I had to call a bestie there I would go with iContact, GR, AA and then Listrak

AWEBER also charges based on email size right? You can buy autoresponder pro and vps server from hostgator. That can do the work.
