    Hey,

Not sure where you plan to sell your work, but Amazon Kindle is a prime location.

This article was written some time ago, but I feel there advice is spot on, even today.

you can sell in warrior special offers, also you can sell in other forums. There are already lot of ebooks and videos on html and so you might need to have a twist.

Yeh, there's also way too much free information on learning HTML for anyone to want to buy a book on it. But if you were looking for a more helpful reply...

the way I sell my own ebook is through SEO. I built a website with lots of helpful articles and backlinked to the articles to get them to rise up in the Google search results. Now I get a nice passive income selling my book on Clickbank.

Be warned however, it takes more effort building a website and getting it to rank via SEO than it does to create the average information product. So be prepared for LOTS of hard work. It's not just SEO that's hard. Generally, I'd say the marketing of a product is much more labor intensive than the creation of the product itself (and if it isn't, then it SHOULD be ). With SEO, your efforts will definitely pay off if you get it right.

It would be hard to cover all the techniques available for marketing your ebook within a simple post.

Many marketers create a squeeze page to give away a freebie report which in turn promotes your ebook at the end. Your report should be something really interesting and helpful that will attract your targeted audience, but yet incomplete in the information so that they will want to buy your ebook.

Another way is to offer a small report for sale, and get a group of affiliates to promote your ebook for you for 100% commission. And you can share a percentage of the profits on the backend for your main ebook. This helps you quickly gain a lot of exposure to your ebook.

      wow,

never seen a forum answering so quickly, thoroughly and friendly...and SBI warns of WF and claims to be the "friendliest forums" on the internet (Ken Evoy).

Thanks Rich, its one am here and will leaver for bed, but will directly check tomorrow morning!

@pb: THank you, too! Will have a look at the WSO offers, no real idea of them yet.... the book is arguing and "how to" that a HTML site is much more successful (in traffic terms) than WP or Joomla sites (etc)... and how to start with HTML instead of WP...

@RevenueGal thanks for your help! Haven't thought about the report avenue yet... will look into that, too...
btw.: do you have a Beginner's Guide to HTML in your library?

      Again: THank you all

You're welcome. I've been online for quite a few years, so I already know enough HTML to get by with; however, if you happen to decide to offer PLR rights to your ebook, I would definitely be interested in using it on my own website to offer to my readers. (Just another thought...because if you do a WSO, people would really love to have PLR rights to your ebook.)

create a sales page to sell your ebook. You can use 'Instant Sales Letter Templates' by Yanik Silver to create a sales page fast.

You can then use paypal or 2checkout to accept credit card payments from your clients.

Now focus on building a list. Create a squeeze page and give away some free tips that shows people to design site thru HTML and get them on your list.

Create follow up emails to sell your ebook.

Start driving traffic to your squeeze page. There are several ways to do this...

    article marketing
    video marketing
    forum posting
    joint venture
    social networking web 2.0
    social bookmarking
    seo
    ppc
    ad swaps
    buying coregistration leads

    Hope this helps...

Hi Snow: just saw your reply... my ebook is not about HTML learning, but using it (instead) ...and then rising more quickly in the SERPs... I intend to get traffic exactly as you describe it (SEO) ...I also will build a complete website around it !

most people just start blogging and age prematurely (thats how I started out, too)...

Thank you so much for giving your opinion!

Start out by selling it as a WSO for Warrior Forum members. Then contact different Warrior Forum members who have large lists and JV with them. Have them send out e-mails to sell your product and let them keep the commission for selling it. To really entice people to sell your product, have a JV contest where you give a cash bonus to the top 5 who sell your product.

Once you have sold on WF, then start doing Webinars where you can sell your product as well.

Yes, marketing it as a WSO is a good idea, because you won't have to worry about using SEO to bring traffic to your site. What you can also do is to offer your buyers the chance to become your affiliates by giving them 100% commissions on your ebook. What you get in return is people joining your list. Building a list is crucial. Think of the WSO simply as a way to get customers onto your list, whom you can then sell to by building a relationship with them and selling to them by email in the future.

I would say do all of this plus the other great ideas mentioned above.

You will want to get your ebook on the Amazon Kindle Market, It is huge right now and people are buying ebooks like crazy to fill their ebook readers.

Ebay is kinda strict on their digitally delivered goods policy, but you can still list in the classified section.

Facebook, Twitter, web 2.0 sites, press release.........

Basically anywhere you can get your sales page seen.

      Hi:
I published the ebook "How to Market and Sell Ebooks", which was a finalist in the Global Ebook Awards this past weekend. I wrote the book because I couldn't find a complete guide on selling ebooks.
Check out my Warriors Special Offer:
      http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...ll-ebooks.html
This ebook sells for $47, but use the link above and get it for only $9
It's 290 pages, and covers many topics related to selling ebooks online.
Of course, I offer a money back guarantee.

If you intend to continue to build your business toward your target market, then I would suggest you...

        1. Begin a blog targeting website owners who want to rank their website in the SERP's - know the keywords they seek out when looking for help and target those in your blog so you begin attracting traffic

        2. Convert them into a list by giving away a video, report or tip so you can then market your ebook and subsequent products to them over time.

It is very inefficient to build a market and only sell to them once, it is much better to build your market and then repeat sell to them over time. This can be additional products you see that they want and develop or affiliate products that you follow on with and earn a commission.

You're doing it backwards... Writing the ebook before you know if anyone wants it is usually fruitless. And even then it is too generic sounding. Who exactly is this book for? That is what you need to answer.

The viewers need to see you as an author of an eBook who has the proficiency and expertise on the matters being discussed in the eBook. Your eBook has to be free of errors thus avoiding spelling mistakes. Offer free samples (excerpt pages) because people are not too sure that the content you have provided is of higher quality than the ones they get from free sources. You can even list your Ebook for free on Google's shopping search engine.

One of the keys to successful marketing is putting your eBook in front of the right audience in order to make sales. People buy an eBook because of this top 4 reasons:

    1) To solve a problem.
    2) To find an answer to a question.
    3) To learn something new.
    4) A combination of these three reasons.
Satisfy these needs first before starting to formulate for a good strategy to get your goal.
