Passive Income, Mixing Up Your Eggs :0

We all know the expression - "don't put all your eggs in one basket."

I believe this is a must-have understanding in life.

Of course, there's a trump (literally) to this philosophy. People like Donald Trump, and Robert Kiyosaki are big advocates on the importance of financial education compared to more traditional academic education.

I would tend to agree with their mentality. To go for what most deem a secure lifestyle "job, mortgage, save money", is one of the most insecure things you can do.

So where does this fit in an IM perspective:

The internet is most-likely the ultimate form of passive income. Having something (that doesn't exist in the physical) that could take you out of your day job and set you for life.

I've noticed a lot of people have set goals to make a living online - and that is fantastic!

However, the volatility of the internet and google leads one to believe that this is a really risky venture to put all one's eggs in.

I'm curious to know what everyone's game-plan is in a rocky economy (I'm not asking for secrets, by all means, this is strictly voluntary, and meant in the general sense of making the most out of financial freedom).

My goals:

- Continue to learn IM (Strive for success with my sites to the point where I can escape the 9-5, and focus on more of the better things in life).

Invest in alternative income (I know one of the first things I'm going to do after I have great success in internet marketing (I have a can-do attitude :0) is invest in real estate.

- Why Real Estate? Sure property values may continue to depreciate, but as long as I'm not liviing in them and they are paid off (and have tenants), they are assets that will keep me afloat if anything goes foul in the IM world.

- After establishing myself as a expert in several fields (offer training courses, some paid, some free for people I want to help escape the brain-washing so many of us have grown up with).

- Start my retirement soon (enjoy life for today, while im young, not while im old, and can't do half the things i used to).

Would love some feedback Warriors!

Ryan
