Here is What I am Good at. Is There Room for me in IM?

After a year of freelancing and blogging, plus a couple of months of trying my hand at affiliate marketing, I have acquired a good understanding of my strengths and weaknesses.

Strengths
Ability to identify profitable niches
Ability to find SUPER keywords
Ability to install and create wordpress blogs.
Ability to create great articles and blog posts
Ability to take the time to bookmark each blog post
Ability to write highly SEO'd articles for article distribution

Weaknesses
Inability to get and sustain traffic
Lack of patience

I have found that I am great at creating blogs and articles highly targeted to profitable longtail keywords. I also have the ability to create great EZA articles. For instance, I wrote one article 18 months ago that has now received 22,000 page views with 92 published.

Is there some type of service I could offer others in the realm of affiliate marketing? Ghostwriting enough isnt profitable enough for me. But, if I could find a way to combine my strengths into a package, I think I could provide a very valuable service to the IM world.

Could some one give me some direction on this?

I am rethinking IM altogether. I was wondering if there were a way to package my strengths to create a steady, profitable business helping people who are in IM

    I must say I"m mystified...

How is it that you have the ability to identify profitable niches,
find SUPER keywords, install and create wordpress blogs,
create great articles and blog posts, take the time to bookmark
each blog post and write highly SEO'd articles for article distribution...
but you can't get and sustain traffic?

Something just isn't right in that equation.

How much will you work for an hour?

Seriously, with all those skills you would probably make a great VA or something along those lines.

For ghostwriting, I have earned up to $.04 cents per word, but I have never tried bundling services together. I wouldnt mind having a ghostwriting service only, I just want a steady stream of income, and so far it has been hit and miss.

          Here's a thought...

Build these sites and find a partner.

Sell them a half interest for your cost of building it plus an acceptable profit. Going forward, they'll be responsible for promotion and you'll be responsible for a set amount of content creation. And you'll be 50/50 partners.

With that laundry list of skillz you should have no problem either going further into IM or as Steven suggested flipping.

I wish I had those skills at this moment, I am working on developing all of them at once.

            Good Luck

That's because I have 6 blogs that are just two weeks old. It is more of a patience thing than anything else.

For instance, I have one blog that is getting steady organic traffic from google. The blog is two weeks old, so I think that is pretty good - Not to mention I have made a sale from it.

Honestly, I sell my sites before they ever have a chance to sustain traffic. Apparently, I like writing better than waiting. Everyone has their own sets of talents.

Dude, If you had the ability to "find profitable niches" then you'd be making money. Otherwise HOW THE FU*K would you know they were profitable?

You certainly are an angry Warrior. Thank god, not all warriors have your attitude.

If I wanted to sell services, I would post them in the classifieds or post a WSO. I am just simply trying to get guidance from others on this board, since there is such a wide variety of marketing types registered here.

What's wrong with being impatient? I like making money for the work I have completed. Writing offers that, whereas I havent gained that trust in promoting affiliate products. Maybe in the future, but not right now.

Is this OK with you? By the way....your post was also reported

Wow...somebody's angry. Perhaps investing in a stress ball would in order.

Shkad, looks like you have been blessed with skills that are high in demand in the IM industry. There are lots of people here and at DP who are constantly on the lookout for good writers for content creation.

One suggestion I would have to you is: with all your great skills that I wish I had, why aren't you succeeding with your affiliate marketing efforts? I don't want that to sound offensive in any way, but with your ability to write great SEO content in profitable niches, you could make a killing on your own instead of offering your services to someone else.

    Just my thoughts...

I am simply to impatient. All the sites I have owned in the past, I have sold. All the sites I have now are new, and I am already bored with them.

Then that' is perhaps what you are looking at: creating sites, monetizing them then selling them. That is a perfectly good business model.

So just do that. Or... set up a service that helps people set up a business site... and sell it to them.

I think you already know the answer.

I have been watching the BST forum over at DP. Those sites go for like $50 for blogs with unique content.

That just isnt enough money for my time.

I know what you mean. I tend to sell sites I don't feel like working on too. I've made the mistake of spreading myself a little to thin so I'm currently trying to build up only 1-2 sites.

    Not to be offensive, but...

You've been given some excellent ideas and you've rejected each one. Perhaps just keep doing what you're doing or find something that does not require patience.

I have the perfect business model for you.

      Site flipping.

One person here makes between $400 and $800 with each site they flip and
the total time they put into it is negligible.

You might want to consider it.

There are some excellent books out there on the subject. Pick one up,
study it and understand what goes into putting together a site that can be
flipped for a decent profit and where to go to do this.

      That would be my suggestion.

I think I will look into it. I just found tommygadget's thread on site flipping. Maybe I can get some direction there.

Hi Steven, do you recall who makes between $400-$800/flip? My understanding is that market is becoming quite saturated because of all the people rushing in to make a quick buck...
