Yahoo Contributer Network/ Articles for $$?

I read a post on here talking about the yahoo contributer network and submitting articles for 5-7$ a pop. I signed up, and at the top there is an assignment desk which has a list of different articles, ex. "Favorite Movie of 2011". If I claim this article and meet the requirements do I get paid or how does it work.

Now I could read the fine print and find out how it works but id rather post it here so we can discuss making money on that. So for people looking for another way to make money, definitely look into this, and for the people who have experience with this please share any tactics and methods you use.

    In my opinion, if you are going to write articles it might be better to actually run your own article writing services or use the articles and make your own money making websites.
