Found my perfect niche! Experienced Im'ers advice wanted

I made another thread recently about how I found an awesome niche which gets 300k hits a month, and the niche is for my favorite band, I bought an exact match domain and I want to rank the site as soon as possible.

I plan on adding tons of content, such as interviews, music leaks, fan covers, articles, and I am just brainstorming so I'd really like to hear some ideas on this.

This is my first IM venture, and I am extremely happy that I found something that I will enjoy working on.

Experienced IM'ers I would definitely love to hear your thoughts!

Thanks everyone!

Sounds good. Make sure your exact match domain really is for a keyword that does get search volume (hopefully you set your keyword tool to "exact match" and not "broad".

Target that keyword with the homepage of your site, build links to it with the anchor text as that keyword (with some variations).

Add lots of content like you said. Search engines love that free content.

I would advise that you think about building a subscriber list from your upcoming site. This way you can keep people coming back when you have updates, freebies or things to sell them.

Check out my current WSO. It can help you with everything you need to get a site off the ground, build your list and keep them interested.

    Good luck either way m8!

If this is about a band you do not own, I recommend that you familiarize yourself with the US copyright laws and DMCA before you add any content that may be somebody else's copyright to clearly understand what content you can add and what you can't legally.

Also, if your domain name contains somebody else's trademark, you may get in trouble. Search trademark name registrations at the US trademark office online.
