How To Make Article Writing Easier - Less Stress, Less Struggle

Sometimes the words just won't flow. You kind of want to smash your head against the keyboard – and well if you did at least you'd have more than a blank page on-screen. Here's an easy solution.

It's hard to get started when you aren't 100% clear on what you're writing. And once you get started, it's hard to keep going if you have to keep rethinking what you're writing. So, do all of the hard-thinking up front.

Write a one sentence description of what the article is about. Then restate it in different words. Then restate it again and again until you have a one sentence description that is jusssssst right ...

Be like goldilocks.

If you need to restate it 12 times - - do it. You'll find it much easier for the article to flow. Because now you know where it's going. Simply write what proves that one sentence. And trim out anything that doesn't fit it.

This has helped me in my experience. What's worked for you?

Have a great day!
Dante

That can work, and I advise a similar process:
    • Answer a forum question
    • Restate in blog post
    • Expand idea for syndication article
    • Improve on the original idea even further to turn it into a book manuscript
    • Then work backwards to create more articles and blog posts, based on the manuscript.

I actually like this idea a lot.

I'm ashamed to say that I never thought about answering questions on forums as a way to make articles. This is an absolutely awesome idea.

If I could thank you twice, I would.

    Chris,

Good point. If those looking to make a dime in the affiliate world would just pick subjects they have knowledge/interest in, their income would likely double in no time at all. Looking at all the sites that are JUST there to make a buck is perfect evidence of some of the most pallid and sleep inducing content imaginable. Inject your passion into your subject...write from the heart...scew up the spelling of a few words (see what I did there?) and just go with it! If your message is true and you BELIEVE it, the passion will come through...that passion will be passed along to the reader and increase conversion and money in your pocket.

      Nice inspirational thread here.

I wanna learn to write articles properly, It's hard for me to come up with something relevant at all so if I choose a subject that passionate me it really helps.

I noticed, for exemple the other day I started writing an article about a video game that I like, I thought ok let's make a small article 200-300 words or so .. then while figuring out what I'm gonna put in it and how I started getting more and more inspiration, and I ended with a 600+ killer article .

I'm also willing to learn to do research for different kind of topics, the things that I'm not necessary passionate about but that I could well write an article or a review about, random exemple : amazon kindle.

I'm trying to develop this skill to start writing some articles for other peoples in order to make some quick cash because I need it.

Also I always like to improve my english and learning to write well is really a plus if you wanna produce decent content for your websites without having to outsource it.

I also think if you use a speech-to-text software, it makes it easier.

It's a lot easier to talk about something than to write about it. Why not do both at the same time?

This is a good information on how to create your article. But in most cases I have my own way of making my article without so much stress. What I do before creating my article is I make an outline of what I am going to write. I make an outline on what should I answer about the topic like : what is it?, what is it for? why do someone need to read it? or why should someone need the product? when and where it is available, how to get one, then some possible disadvantage and advantages. In short - just make an outline first of what you are going to write about.

Next is research and the words will flow into your mind. A simple as that.

for me, it has to deal with my inner voice that keep on telling me that I am not a good writer.

The moment I rephrase as writer in progress, then I can quiet that inner critic to continue to write

Well writing article has always been a problem for me.In the recent times I have made some improvement and I think the only way to improve your writing performance is writing more and more as you can and also reading others and their approaches to a article.

Yes indeed Perfection comes through repetition .

Also I should say thanks to TPW too that's a great method to get inspiration for your content, ideas etc .

Warning highly controverstial and copyright infriguement sensitive tip :

On top of that you could even read all the posts TPW and other renowned article writers( the name alexa comes to my mind..) made concerning article writing and the like and get inspiration for blog posts or even ebooks about article writing.

Ok enough said I'm killing it

Writing using someone else's ideas isn't necessarily a bad thing. I just always give them credit for the idea and then expand on it with my own ideas. If anything, they might just be glad for the backlink and getting their name out there for them.

I was a broadcast news writer for several years. Early on, the show deadlines were terrifying, and I had a hard time even thinking about writing for a 2 hour newscast with only 7 hours to do it. One thing that helped a lot is actually an old trick journalists use.

Think about the story you want to tell (any idea you need to convey). Now, instead of thinking "how should I word this", just imagine yourself talking to a friend. How would you explain it to them? Think about casually chatting over a couple beers.

Then, write that mental conversation. It's a great starting point in my experience. And it helps you develop a more conversational writing style.

          Cheers

This is really a good idea.Firstly we have to know the actual meaning of the topic. We have to collect important information from different sources. After collection , we have to choose which information will be appropriate for the topic. In this way,we have to decorate sentences.
I think we will be able to get good result.............

You make a great point! I do this as well. When inspiration strikes, I take out my phone and quick bang the idea out. Since I started doing so, life has become so much easier.

To take it a step further, head to Remember Everything | Evernote Corporation. Their program let's you store information and access it anywhere. but here's the best part.

It's SEARCHABLE. All of your information in one place and you can search through it. No needing to manage hundreds of random text files. This is ideal for anyone managing a lot of ideas.

    Lots of good advice here.

I find it very helpful to simply start typing. Once I have the idea what the artcile is going to be about, I start writing. Sometimes, it takes me a few sentence to actually start writing what I want to write and sometimes it comes right away.

Don't stress over it. Outsource it instead unless you absolutely need to do it yourself. For example I do my own SEO blog articles or Sales Copy articles. But I certainly don't right my own articles on "window shield wipers"

The day I outsourced and trained my team what to write and where to post, my job got easier.

If you have the money, do this,... if you dont have the money, well save up.

You life will be much more productive if you are not sitting infront of the screen writing articles all day...then you can spend time on your business and not in your business.

Guess you see the idea here.

As a writer, I've occasionally had those days when the words just won't come. I've learned the only cure is to skip0 a day.

Before I begin an article I think about it. I think about what I want to cover, what facts I want to emphasize and what kind of person I'm talking to. Once I have that in mind I can quickly visualize a layout/organization and start writing.

I don't write well under pressure and I've proven that again this week. I was sick last week - a simple cold turned into bronchitis and I felt like a little girl who wants her mommy I took a couple days off and then was determined to keep writing but got a trojan that totally shut down my computer (again - that's twice in six years...but also twice this summer!).

So the computer went to the tech for 2-3 days, I had to work my part-time job one day over the weekend. I was confident I could catch up (I have a huge pile of writing to do at the moment) but it's taking everything I have in will power to just keep going. I feel good now but I feel the pressure of getting these jobs done quickly and that seems to slow me down - go figure.

I'm getting there - thankfully the work I'm doing is on subjects I've heavily researched. 25k word project almost done - only the 27k word job to go. aaarrrrgh

On my end, I tend to write better when there is less pressure. . . Pressure about finishing the article to reach a deadline, having to write about something that needs deeper research and stuff. So the best thing would be to write something that you have a good understanding about the topic. If it could not be avoided writing stuff that you have no idea off, well it would be best to do some research way ahead of time and not be pressured by time and having to reach certain deadlines.

Most of the time I usually write articles in the morning just after breakfast so that the mind is still relaxed and fresh. Also helps to scribble down notes while you are in a relaxed atmosphere and the ambiance is good, your garden, the park, or if your near the beach as in my case.

Sometimes when i struggle, i just start writing. Even when the words are not there, i just typing and think about what I want to say. If nothing comes, i just read an article from Google about the same topic and it gives me ideas on what I want to write. And then I force myself to write it
