WFNT - my notification tool and IE-7

Need a little help here...I usually run FireFox v3, but my WFNT loads IE-7. No problem with me; I just want the info

From the WFNT I open and am auto-logged onto the site. Like that.

Here's where it gets interesting: on the site, reading various posts, when I discover a link, either in the body of a post, or in a sig file, when I click on it, nothing happens. If, however, I [B]right click[B] the link then all works as one would expect: either a new window or a new tab.

So, this long winded question is why won't IE-7 just go directly to my click?

Man, I love this place...
