I just realized we might be one of the only industries where it's perfectly acceptable to have customers say, "How much do you make?" Or "How old are you?" LOL! I mean, we're constantly having to prove our income claims (those who cater to the IM niche), and many make it a point of showcasing their youth (as a perk that they're such young entrepreneurs) or their older age (if this 92 year old grandma can do it, so can you)! I have some customers who say, "Do you mind me asking...________________" (how old you are) (how much you make from ____________________) (exactly how you do _____________________ - insert personal niche strategy) We would never go to our CPA and ask those questions or expect a competitor to our brick and mortar store to spill the beans about how he converts walk ins into buyers. I think this is funny. I always answer - I don't mind. But it's odd at the same time and I often hope I don't accidentally ask someone who's NOT an Internet marketer - "How much do you make?" LOL That would be embarrassing! tiff |
