Which converts higher ?
An amazon buy now button or an anchor text link pointing to amazon.
For example, read more reviews, view the best selling xxxx online here ?

I would thinki that most people would tell you that text links convert the best

I personally find that text links convert better for this.

Big yellow button that say "BEST PRICE" or something along those lines works very well.

Use both a button & text link in your review page

      i agree with that..

use text and image links in the body of the review. then use a button at the bottom of the image.

i don't place the buttons in the middle of the review, since the reader can distract from the review, and from exprets idea, buttons dont get clicked well as text and image links..

i dont think that buttons dont convert well, because whatever they click on, they go to amaozn, and amazon is expert in converting people to buy things. what matters is readers often clicks on images and text links than buttons, so text links and image links seem better than buttons.

I always put both on my sites but have stats that prove the anchor text links get a far higher clickthrough rate for me - so if you only use one make sure it is Anchor text links!

Gotta agree with Chris here use both, but text links will be the higher click through rate especially if you use a lead sentence with a natural call to action.

I can tell you from my experiences with those types of sites that I've gotten more clicks from the in text links but I do get good click through to the actual review (where the in text links are) from the "read review" button.

Hope the testing is going well!

Do yo ustill need a text link to the product IF you already have the pic & buy now button on th site? Using WpZon and they already give you both that takes you direct to the item

Text links and images/buttons both work well, so I use both.

Make sure you have one above the fold, one in the middle of the review and one visible at the bottom of the page. So if they get bored reading your review or if they love what your review is saying and they want to buy, they can just click off the page to Amazon at any time they want as a link is always visible on their screen.

Important to remember though, getting the click and preselling effectively in your review are not necessarily the same things. CTR and conversion being different entities. I'll take conversions over a high CTR anyday.

Text links that are part of the review tend to work best.
