Help Creating a Sales Funnel

While I have read, studied, and began taking action with some of the knowledge gained, I am a bit spun as to whether this is a logical implimentation of a sales funnel?
Again, I am a bit stumped on a few pieces, so here goes...
For starters I found what appears a great tool for internet marketers. A free plugin download. Naturally, there's an upsell ($47) associated directly to the product.
I began by assembling WP blog/review and a Video Squeeze Page w/ Opt-in. Naturally, I want to build authority with the blog and get on page one using SEO techniques, article marketing, ads, and other methods.
Any way, I have full permissions to distribute this product and provide it to users as a "Branded Version" with my affiliate links. By itself it's actually a great free tool.
So, I set up my AWeber form without the "Double Opt-in" and upon them clicking the "Get Instant Access" Button (and capturing their name and email)...directing to the vendor's sales page with my aff link. (* problem...his page is a video squeeze opt-in, so I don't want that!)
I intend to change this, and set up a "Sub-Thank-You" page URL redirect to a page within my own site.
Naturally, this page has the typical "Limited Time...OTO" -followed by the benefits and sales copy of the upsell. Giving them 2 options:
1.) They Either Buy It!
or
2.)No Thanks, I'll just grab the freebie...etc (<--Link to start actual download)<---Help!
OK...so if they "Buy Now" I wanted to send them right to the CB Vendor's Checkout Page as opposed to the vendor's site, as he already has his set-up with a similar video squeeze! *Definitely don't want them opting into my list, then redirected to his video opt-in!
So, I wanted to do this...
I would like the download to begin when they click "No Thanks" and have a automatic window appear (but don't exactly know how to do this yet in WP
) starting the download pop-up window.
or
I could create (2) internal pages self-hosting the download(s) with a link to the files -one for the freebie, one for the paid upgrade
or
I could self-host the free download, then set up an auto-delivery email containing the link using Aweber.
Naturally, if they just opt for the freebie, I can always wait on the upsell, and do this with a 'follow up' email...asking them if they like their free tool..yadda yadda yadda, but from what I've seen the immediate OTO, get it while it's fresh seems a more favorable route.
Being I am using Wordpress w/Optimize Press, creating the download file is a bit grey...as I imagine I could create the pages just fine...but unlike pre-templated websites that have index.html, download.html, and separate files already created for each...I am lost on how to create the actual download.html file on my server for delivery on WP and triggering the download window pop-up.
Sadly, I want to scale up my article marketing and submissions efforts to start targeting a specific audience, and build my list, traffic, and backlinks...but until this is in place, I am kinda screwed.
I wrote my first HubPage last night, built a free webs site, and a blogger site. Oddly, the HUB already ranked 4th for one of my many targeted keywords in 24 hours?
(Note: my website isn't even in the top 12 pages of "G" yet, and I applied more SEO to it than my Hub...weird)
Normally, I'd be happy to see this, but the 3 websites, and other web 2.0 properties I wrote fresh content on are all pointing to my blog for now, by-passing my video opt-in page, and just redirecting to the vendor's squeeze page/offer.
If they buy...great I get a sale, but lose the 'list building factor'...which is not desirable!
I also placed 25 free classified ads, and am already tracking some visits (no sales yet)
In conclusion, before I go too much further in my marketing efforts (i.e. article marketing, free ads. solo ads, etc...) and have to go back and change all my links...
Naturally, since it is a FREE Download on the front-end, I am not at worried about concealing the downloads location too much.
The upsell, I figured I'd just rename the file something unlikely to be guessed (like rsvp123geterdone.html), and take my chances with self-hosting the file.(Once I figure out how to actually configure it)
*Rather than using e-junkie, S3, or an encrypted/expiring service (as that'll come once I nail down the basics here)..all in time
Again, I was almost too embarrassed to ask, as it was something I thought I could search and find quick answers to...instead that only made matter's worse...LOL
Anyway, any advice would be great...the site needs some work as I am still configuring it, but the actual site is found in my sig, the first link on left (please note, I am note trying to sell anyone, or looking for critiques...just need some direction as to which method to use)

- What's the easiest way to self host the download for instant download using WP as it appears to be a bit different than a simple download.html file?
- How should I split the traffic concerning building authority to my blog -vs- directing traffic to the video squeeze direct upsell/download?
- Finally, can I send traffic to the vendor's ClickBank purchase window?
