Norms for a killer eBook...

I'm currently writing my first eBook in the relationship/dating/attraction niche and am not sure what the "norms" are for a good eBook.

How long should it be in number of pages? I know the answer is "as long as it needs to be". I'm looking for the average number of pages of successful books to help minimize returns and give a high perceived value.

Should I leave some of my expertise out of the eBook and put it into some kind of continuity program?

What should the spacing and font size be? I see a lot of double spaced eBooks with huge fonts.

Should I give away the first few chapters for free? Is there a better way?

Any other killer tips you have for either writing or marketing an eBook?

Thanks for helping.

Write it with your audience in mind and that makes a killer ebook.

With my product I did it because I was sick of seeing crap spouted in other ebooks and felt that people needed to know the truth. There is a lot of junk out there and I wanted to give something to those people that would help them and keep them healthy not help them for their superficial needs but make them unhealthy.

My ebook isnt as long as others BUT I havent spaced it out and put big pictures in it. I dont think its necessary.

If you give value, if you give the person what they need...they it doesnt matter about size, spacing etc.

You could give a chapter away through an opt in to build a list as well.

      Its more about the content.

Its like a 120 page advanced net marketing book with 119 pages telling you how to upload files to your host. Id rather just have the 1 page on marketing.
