Why Zeerk is better than Fiverr

Have just purchased a service from someone on Zeerk.com, and have to say was pleasantly surprised.

I went for a higher value service ($15 for an article), and I think the reason quality is better on zeerk is because those offering gigs have the freedom to price their work according to how good they are, as opposed to being forced to price at $5 the same as all other half-baked providers, regardless of quality.

I like the 5 dollar rule on fiver. Without it would be just another site with a lot of products for sale in different price range (whole internet is full of them)

yes but if they had like a 5,10usd website then that would be ok. Some people are not cheap and do want the best quality which Fiverr doesnt always offer.

The only reason why people make more money with fiverr is simply because it gets the most traffic and hits PERIOD! If we as internet marketers decided to promote gigbucks or zeerk then the traffic there would SKY-ROCKET and sales would too so really its up to us

Oh...and btw...I changed 2 graphics from the clone script, everything else is the same...and that graphic was done by a 8 year girl in a San Diego childrens hospital that has leukemia.

I'll tell her you think her graphic is "absolutely disgusting and unprofessional"

She wanted to go with the garden and flower look because she said it made her think "how beautiful life was"

I really can't think of a better win/win situation of making sick kids happy AND making a profit.

        But what do I know?

        Well,

I'll tell you a truth now...

        Ugly sells, and a lot.

Ugly websites are surprisingly super effective in making money. If your ugly website is loaded up with great content, you probably need not worry.

Millions have been made with ugly websites, and you will do well to remember that.

I have gigs on 20 fiverr clone sites and make more sales on fiverr alone than on all the other 20 clone sites, so fiverr to me is really the only place to focus selling and buying on.

    Just my 2 cents.

You know why I like Fiverr?

Because I can get EXACTLY what I'm seeking for just $5. Think about that.

If I need some social bookmark submissions done? $5
If I need a cheap and cheesy logo for a new site? $5
If I need an image of a cute girl holding up a sign of my website? $5
If I need some untargeted Facebook fans to look cool to my real ones? $5
    If I need a quick article? $5
If I need a billion links built via Xrumer? $5

The list goes on and on. Hell I could have someone "stalk" me on Facebook and proclaim to be my fake babies momma for $5!

I can create a whole fantasy land akin to a TMZ post for about $25, that not only drums up business but makes my hole family wonder WTF I am up to in my life. Just saying.

You name it, and Fiverr has it. Who needs Zeerk? Or a clone?

If I want super-duper quality work done I outsource right here on the forum. Why go anywhere else?

I can see where one is coming from with not liking Fiverr if one is looking for bigger jobs that don't really fit into the $5 category.

Some sellers on Fiverr will still try to sell these bigger jobs for $5, but of course you won't get what you would normally get if you paid more. So for these jobs I guess a clone site like Zeerk (which I had never visisted before, but I have to say I like the design of Fiverr better) would be good, as people can offer set jobs, and you don't have to go through the whole screening process like you have to when you hire freelancers on for example Freelancer.com

Having said that, I absolutely LOVE Fiverr! It's a great place to get all those small jobs you don't really want to or know how to do done, and there are so many sellers. Also the $5 limit ensures that people don't overcharge for these smaller services, and there is a lot of healthy competition.

All in all, each have their place, but I have no doubt that Fiverr is here to stay and will probably stay the king for a long time to come!

Fiverr is the best website I have found in a long time for helping me with my online projects. Before Fiverr came around, hiring people online was a real hassle, and now its super easy and fast. Long live Fiverr! Clones will never be able to touch it!

Don't just buy one article for $5 and decide you don't like fiverr because you didn't like the article. There are hundreds of other writers on there that you can give a try to, some will write badly, but the higher rated ones do some very good work.

First, to be fair Zeerk is a good place to buy and sell but I would say fiverr still leading that market.

It is not only about the freedom of price. Yes, Fiverr offer only $5 but people are happy with the price.

Article writing price was set not only by fiverr but even with other market that $5 for 300 - 500 words, In fiverr some seller over more for 2 gigs, ... and so on.

I use Zeerk but not for the same reason I use fiverr.

I think fiverr is great but while I don't
have experience with many similar sites
(I refuse to call them all clones - they
aren't - fiverr isn't that original) half of
the people I've dealt with on fiverr were
      either deadbeats or flakes.

The other half were OK. Some of those
      were very good people.

      Just my experience.

I have never used Zeerk, but the amount of buyers and sellers (and ratings) on Fiverr is astounding.

I found that filtering according to "Rating" works very well. That way the gigs with a higher rating are at the top. I have (almost) never been disappointed with a high-rated gig.

Also, many times I ask a question first and decide which specific gig (when there are many in that category) to use according to the answer I get (and how fast I got it).

Fiverr may be good for some things, but when it comes to outsourcing at least link building, nah.

I've bought link packets, hired people to build me back links on the site, and because the quality is lacking I regretted doing it.

              One example:

I purchased an offer for a good number of back links, and then 5 minutes later I get a message telling me that they're done. I'm like, what?

So I check out the links and they were obviously harvested through Scrapebox where the person used the auto comment feature. Each page had no PR and was loaded with thousands of back links from all of the other clients that this person did damage to.

So, I'm sorry, but even though the price is cheap, I'm not going to pay $5 for someone to load a pre set list that hurts client's sites and spams the owners in the list.

At first I thought "well I could probably make a fortune doing this as I have the same software", but then I thought "do unto others as you would wish to be treated".

I'm not saying that quality isn't out there on Fiverr, but it's really hard to find, and you CAN'T trust the reviews, because most people aren't knowledgeable enough to see the whole picture. They think "a link is a link".

The whole $5 thing is extremely tempting and leads people to repeat the mistakes over and over again, but it's hard enough to find a professional who knows what he's doing, so just imagine the low quality on Fiverr.

I have hired so many companies, services and individuals to do this one job, and payed so much money and have yet to be satisfied.

I'm sure the good guys are out there, but if you want quality, attention to detail and picky-ness, sometimes you have to look to yourself.

And when it comes to building links - you'd better have all of that.

In terms of articles I have had OK results on Fiverr

sylarrr there is no website similar to fiverr has the same traffic and to be fair most of them are not going to.

However, the main problem here everyone ask the same question do anyone have same traffic as fiverr ?! Why do you need same traffic as fiverr ? fiverr getting million hits a day how much out of these are going to one of your gigs ?! 1, 2 , 5 ?

You might post your gig on a similar website that gets 2000 hit a day and 200 out of them is going to your gig on first page ?

I don't say fiverr alternative website (Yes, I do own one of them) are better than fiverr, but if you give it a close look, the similar sites do have their own advantages too

I write articles on Fiverr and have had great reviews. I haven't had many orders though because I'm somewhat new there and I guess many buyers are like Debbie D ... they go for the higher rated gigs. But I don't mind, my work will speak for itself.

There are very good writers on Fiverr... you just have to find them. $5 is not a lot of money to spend. When you eventually get that writer that delivers great content and understands your requirements, you can consider any money spent on fluff as 'research.'

It is probably not the case that Zeerk is better than Fiverr.
More like good providers will gravitate to Zeerk or any
other sites that give the flexibility for them to set their
own prices rather than being dictated at 5 bucks.
If anything it just shows that you get what you pay for.

Fiverr dominates period. I look at these new clones site like how cpa networks sprang up. In the end quality is all that will matter. Time will tell about the good micro job sites and the bad ones. End the end it will boil down to a matter of personal preference and quality of service like any site that is like another offering similar services. As for me I choose fiverr for many reasons.

    1. Its top dog
    2. Everything is $5
    3. I tend to trust the sellers there more

As for selling there it is not my cup of tea but I outsource like crazy there and have yet to leave a bad feedback for anything. It doesn't hurt to try new site out to see if you can find a gem but for most that wont happen due the rep that fiverr holds. IMO

    • Fiverr has first mover advantage. That's a powerful thing if you can execute on it -- and they have, by taking hold of the public's imagination. I don't see many (or any) of the clones having stories written about them in major news outlets. I watched a CNET Buzz Report yesterday that featured Dancing Dror. The outro for the program was a Fiverr rabbit munching on a leaf that said buzz report. $5 for 30 seconds of adorable bunniness? Deal.

Microjobbing is a business about people. The story sells the gig. If clone site owners had any imagination they'd be actively recruiting people with compelling stories. Haven't seen a one of those yet, though.

Have just caught up with the thread - lots of fiverr fans I see!

I won't argue that in the sheer range of stuff offered Fiverr wins hands down. But for certain products, articles being one of them, I haven't had any luck buying a good quality one for $5. I think writers need to be paid a bit more if you want something that wasn't dashed off in ten minutes flat by re-writing something on ezine. But that's just my opinion.

Yes, that's huge advantage. By inspecting originals and clones (I mean different apps, ideas, websites) you can say that the one who comes first has about 90% of the market and other top 10 clones share the 10%.

I like fiverr. I get tons of sales from there. I've used other clones and some don't even pay and keep your money. Can't do anything about it either since they are registered offshore and hosted offshore.

I have made more money on Fiverr than any of the clone sites...Will definitely give Zeerk a go though and see how well that fares!
    Thanks!

  • Fiverr is partially funded by Bessemer Venture Partners. No idea what the initial funding was, but Bessemer generally makes investments from $4 to $10 million.

Do any of the clones have VC money on board? No?

I'm always amazed when you comment on things you know nothing about. Do I have VC funding on board for mine? Yes I do. I have that much to spend on any venture of my choosing.

I don't understand why you bash clones so much. The only thing you could possibly be an expert on is talking about sites that talk about other sites.

I run a successful clone that makes money and it is exactly where I want it to be at this point in time. Could I drop more money in it? Sure, I don't want to at this point....I probably will do so around mid November.

I just don't feel like your opinion on clones is worth much as you don't own one and have no idea what the inside numbers are.

Your site looks nice and i'm gonna signup and see how it goes, shame you don't have live support though, every site I been to that does it's hard to turn them down, because you know they're as professional as it gets. Fiverr live support is top notch, hostgator's is on another level, a vps site someone recommended earlier had great one too so i'll definitely be using them. If it's just you running the site I know that probably wouldn't be an easy task though.

i dont really understand "the $5" job..

i wouldnt do it.. It is basically me working for a online McD rate...

honestly, for $5- i have not seen any quality work there.. Cheap yes, quick yes but never good and awesome. The pros dont hang-out there for sure.

That was one of my biggest reasons for starting a higher end clone site (and I know it was one of Shane's reasons for starting ImGigz)....

Being able to tap into proven quality from my own collection that I manage.

      That's not entirely correct.

Many pro's use it as a lead generator and have more expensive services to offer on the back end... well the smart ones do.

After I saw some early success with fiverr, I posted my gigs on a bunch of clone sites with little to no results.

Score for fiverr= over 200 sales in 6 weeks or so

score for everything else= 3 sales

  • The very fact that you have to describe your site as a Fiverr clone means it's a loser. You're trying to trade off someone else's idea and success. That's pretty pathetic.

Well, I make a proft and that's all that counts...

You on the other hand have nothing to stand on as your site is merely a site that talks about what happens somewhere else. Fiverr could go out of business and I would prosper even more.

      You would die.

You may want to look into creating something for yourself. My clone is less than 10% of my income. I use it as a personal database for my other businesses.

You are possibly one of the most pathetic people I have run across in IM....and I've been doing this for quite awhile.

Congrats OP - you seem to have sparked a storm!

You pays your money, you takes your choice. If you pay $5 for dinner, don't expect a $25 steak. (And don't expect your date to do anything other than go straight home afterwards... but that's another story).

I have lived with 'OK' results from a $5 investment. I have been pleasantly surprised with the work done for a $5 investment. I have also been appalled after getting some work done for $100+, and absolutely amazed by the results of paying the same to a different person.

It comes down to budget, and the conscientiousness of the person paying the money. Shop around, find the best people, pay the money. You still might be disappointed, but at least you can sleep easy knowing you didn't take the first offer on the table. Unless that was the best one...

Suck it up, pay what you can afford, (whether from an 'original' site, or a 'clone'), and either bin it and start again, or make do!

Just my thoughts... Now where is that peppercorn sauce, she'll be here any minute...
