Renew the domain or cut my losses?

I own a dozen or so domains. One of them is going to expire in nearly the middle of next month. I sort of like the domain and the focus of the site, but this site has not earned me much money nor does it draw much consistent traffic. I have some better performing sites. Should I keep working to make this site domain successful, or should I cut my losses here and focus on my other sites and/or add a new site? I have learned much about how to have success since I started the site that I am asking about. Thank you all for guidance.

What is the Page Rank of the site? You might just keep it to link to your other sites to build their rankings.

Is it an exact match domain name for a keyword with search volume? If so, probably keep it.

It all depends on the niche. If it has the potential to make money, then I would keep it. But if you're doing it simply because it's easy and can make you a little bit of side cash, I would drop it. It also depends, like the first poster said, on what the page is ranked and what the competition looks like.

    Cheers!

I suppose it does have the potential to make money. I have some ideas for it............ maybe I'll keep it just for fun. I doubt the value is much of anything right now, though. lololol

First, I would like to consider the age of domain.

If it is not old enough I would suggest to get it lose, if you think the domain name will make you some good money, maybe it is better to sell it

If it makes more than 10 bucks a year, keep it.

After all, it doesn't cost that much to renew a domain for another year.

If your domain name is a keyword that draws a lot of searches on google, I would go check to see if the competition on the first page of google is stiff. If it isn't, I would keep the domain and optimize it by creating backlinks.

If the name includes a keyword, is PR1+ and is (say) more than 3 years old, it may have some value in passing juice to other sites in your network.

Otherwise - drop it and move on.
