Will It Get Crunched?

Be interesting to hear everyones views on this.

Do you think IM will be crunched by the current economic world crisis or not.

Personally I think certain products will not sell as well as people cut back.

But on the other hand people will be looking for income options and will have more time to spend online.

I don't think IM will be crunched by the world crisis...

There are still people eating out in nice restaurants...

    Buying BMWs, Mercedes, and Jaguars...

    Buying the latest Mac/PC with Blu-Ray reader/writer...

Buying Smackdown Vs. Raw for Xbox 360 for $70 a pop...

My income was slow during the holiday season, so I took a part time job at Macy's to help sell men's fragrance during the holiday season...

    Great experience, by the way...

    You should've seen it, Mangozoom...

People were in there buying $155 bottles of Chanel perfume and $100 bottles of "I Am King" by Sean John like it was $5...

    Here's my point...

Sure people are losing jobs, but people are still spending...

More people will look to IM as a way to supplement or replace their income during this crisis...

The old saying, "If you can find and fill a need...you'll always have business" applies here...

No matter if the economy is up, down, left, right, or any point in between...

Warren Buffet says..."Be fearful when others are greedy, and greedy when others are fearful."

People are fearful right now...help them fill a need and they will gladly pay you what you are asking...

    That's my 2 cents...

A lot of people are pointing that out. I'd like to add something to it. Please keep in mind that this isn't directed at you personally. Just a general thought...

Yes, there will be opportunities to sell to people who want to learn new ways to make money. Pleeeease keep in mind, if you try to supply that need, that you have a responsibility to deliver something that will actually work.

Otherwise, you're profiting from making their situation worse, not better. That's never a good thing, but it's even less acceptable when someone is in tough straits.

Well said Paul, or are you really Peter Parker in disguise?

I like and admire how you address things without being offensive...

Your post is definitely worth reading and soaking up (like a sponge)...

And I do agree with you when you say this...

Depends on the situation. If I think someone deserves to be offended, I'm not shy about it. Otherwise, I try not to offend people accidentally.

I am mega impressed with your comment also ... and feel challenged by it which is also good.

So many things in life promise so much but deliver so little. The IM'ers who deliver will WIN

I am not having a slow down. 2008 was my best year ever and I intend 2009 to be even better.

The holiday season was very generous to me. For that I am very thankful.

If I wanted to make less money I suppose I would watch the news and begin to believe that people are not spending money and feel scared and... yup... that would surely do it.
