**Anyone tried or thought about using Youtube Promoted Video Service?

Is there a reason this isnt talked about? Anyone thought about using youtube promoted vids as a service. True waste of money for marketers? What do you guys/gals think?

    I haven't ever thought of it myself, but I would be interested to see if anyone out there has tried it/has more information on this.

      I have and still use it. It is ok. I dont make too much money off of it. I guess cause none of my vids are famous.

      I mean because youtube is a method of free marketing so I wonder how successful it would be to pay for some marketing on the tube.

        It's very good for a number of strategies:
        branding, credibility, beginning of the funnel
        launching new products
        visual representation of products/companies

        It can also be good for lead generation and selling products when it is done right.

        Lots of things play into success:
        appeal of video (doesn't have to be high quality and cable tv ads don't work)
        length of video (under 2 min's normally although long videos can work)
        appeal of product/service/topic to audience
        VSEO (video search engine optimization - still important with promoted videos)
        Calls to action (when, where, strength)
        How effective are your ads (text and/or image)
        How strong is your landing page
