Opinions on how I can monetize my website

I own the website Crookstube.Com. Its been around for about 1 year. We do help the public catch criminals but it would be nice to start making some money. We get about 150visits a day and each visitor spends about 10minutes on the site. I am pretty new at all of this and would like some opinions. Thanks

    Nice idea for a website

    Congrats on getting on the news as well, I'm impressed.

    I'd probably contact home security company's and negotiate banner advertising next to videos of crimes happening in their area.

    p.s. maybe add a comedy section of stupid criminals, just to lighten the mood :p

    Your audience is probably hyper vigilant about crime, any home/personal security product affiliate links or banners would seem to be a good match, in addition to the obvious home security cam industry, I promoted a self install web connected security service "be at home"?, through CJ I believe. The same demographic may be better insured than the average citizen.

      This - home security is really good money.

      Also, you could sell or promote a guide on "how to protect yourself and your family" that you could write or have written.

      Home camera stuff, and other home safety things.

    Very cool idea for a website.

    The more traffic the site gets, the more you'll be able to monetize.

    Besides posting the video, have you capitalized on your press coverage? "As seen on MSNBC", press releases, etc.?

    I agree with what was said above some home security products affiliate banners. Or sell advertising space to companies who offer this service.

    If you are really stuck for ideas try adsense as you will get related ads on your site and people may click on these if something catches their eye.
