I have a technical question about downloading links...

Okay, so over the years I've bought a lot of products and some of them came with master resale rights. I started going through them again recently and realized just how many of them I have with these kind of rights. It's nothing huge, just a lot of little things, including some audios, videos and e-books.

Now, I was thinking about making a membership website where people could download them once a month. (I'd charge a minimal fee like $10 a month or something because they have resale rights, not give away rights.) They would be drip fed with a link in the e-mail.

I can set up to e-mail with the link, I'm just not sure how to upload the file for them to link to. (It would be a zip file due to the size.)

Also, I was wondering if there was a way to cloak it from the search engines themselves and possibly protecting it with an expiring link or something like that.

Even though I am a good writer and I've been doing it for years, I'm a little light on the technical aspects. (That's all new to me.) So if anyone who answers could use small non tech words, I'd appreciate it.

I believe using a robots.txt file with the right don't index instruction is the standard way to avoid indexing, using cryptic folder names helps prevent blind pirate probes. The PLR memberships site biz is fairly competitive, people expect a number of new books each month.

There are digital download hosting services that provide better piracy protection, these are usually for higher priced training material but might make life simpler for you.

What number for $10 a month? If I don't have enough maybe I won't start.

But I should mention, I'm not selling PLR. I'm selling informational products specific for the online business but geared toward newbies. (Basic stuff, so I probably wouldn't sell it here.)

As I said, I'm a newbie to everything but the writing part of it. (articles, press releases, ebooks, sales letters, ect.) So I didn't really understand what you just said.
