My Useless Domain Name...

Hey Warriors,

I'm sure some you have exprienced this.

You find an awesome domain name and you register it, score!

Then one of two things may happen:

1. You start thinking that 'stripypantyhose.com' probably wasn't a good domain name after all.

2. You bought a good domain name, but you can't think of anything to put on it now.

Well I'm doing a number 2 (you're gross for thinking that)

I have these two floating around doing nothing:

Penpali.com

Tokeno.com

No idea what to do with them. Any suggestions?

Also, if you have any stupid domain names please post them :p

    Google

    Skype

    Twitter

    Facebook

    Digg

    Reddit

    Wikipedia

I could go on, but the point is it isn't the name, per se, it's what you do with it.

Both those are short, easy to remember domain names.

And yea, I know that's not the response you were looking for.

fatburningfurnase.com.. I did that a few weeks ago. Shows that no matter how good you are at what you do - mistakes still happen.

Anyways what you could do is apply some nice 301. Redirect.

What is that you may ask? It's the most safest way to make your website get higher rankings in such a short period of time. If your site has some backlinks already then if you do 301 redirect then that backlink juice will spill over to your prefered site.

Also you can spam the 301 redirect site with alot of links and it will just redirect to your prefered site SAFELY.

It's an interesting and one of the most underused methods in SEO.

Well I would only assume Penpali.com would have a pen pal site on it. Tokeno could have something involving tokens (like perhaps a game site) or Keno. Both could be branded to other things but at least when I saw them, that's what had come to mind and it would be difficult to shake people off of preconceived notions about a name or brand.

Another vote for pen pal... That's exactly what I thought of too
