Getting Local Emails???

Ok Guys

so I have a great letter with a FREE offer that I want to send to local businesses.

I tried emailing them on craigslist but was stopped quick by CL, saying to many emails were sent from me.

Is there any ideas to get lists, or a better way to do this?

    I have approached businesses in my local area with similar offers in the past. The fastest way that I have found to quickly get information about any local business is to pay a quick visit to your local chamber of commerce. The chamber of commerce in my town actually had about 2/3 of the local business owner's email addresses on file. The rest I searched the net for and found email addresses on their websites. I actually had to physically visit a few though to talk to face to face, as they had no site ( hey possible offline marketing for those ones ).

      Did you have to pay for the emails and were you a paying member of the local Chamber I keep thinking I want to do that but dont have the 300 bucks to join right now and Im sole proprietor not Inc or licensed until I make money.
