Newbie need help / advice with my product

did you check the online demand for this product? You can use the google keyword tool to find how many people are searching for this product online. If there is a big demand then all that you are suggesting should work good. Alternatively you can also create a demand for a product by defining its benefits and marketing via forums, videos, etc.

If you want to get more sales, try PPC advertising. It fast, easy and works autopilot. You just need to setup once and wait the money comes. The con, you need to pay per ad clicked. But there's a way to do PPC for free, check my sig!

Agreed with Jill, find a related but non competing product and market that as an upsell once they have bought your product. Try to maximize the sales you are currently getting.

It's like you say, demand for your product is low (low competition) so what's your conversion rate? Are you selling to a large proportion of your visitors? If not then mix up your copywrite and split test, if you are then you might have hit your tipping point and need to increase your sales options.

PPC won't do you much good because you are already at the top of SERPS - UNLESS you do it on very specific sites like as an example, gardening communities. You could also go direct to them, post in forum, purchase sticky threads or advertise by banners.

Finally, you could go down the offline route and take your product to the garden centres and give them a good deal on it.

If that video is a sample of the rest, you're too far away to convince me the process is easy. You get in close near the end, but in truth, I would have walked before we got there. I recommend cutting that video in two parts - one general intro to the need which would be the beginning and the end.

Then the second video would be the CLOSE up of the installation - EASY!

Then I would set up either wordpress pages for easy seo, or wordpress blog featuring use and solution SPECIFIC posts (or pages) focusing on a particular need. For example, Child Safety & Pool Gates, Pet Safety & Your Pool Gate, Keeping Alligators Out of Your Pool! And you can go on and on with many posts / pages popping up on Google searches. I wouldn't go with affiliates unless they express an interest through this thread. Don't waste time and market this thing to the hilt yourself - it really isn't that hard to do cause you really don't have many competitors.
