Edit: sorry for the error in the title, should finish my coffee next time before posting ![]() I've been reading the offline threads and while I'm not new to the online world, I'm not familiar with the portal business model. How does one find out if there are already portals active in your community? Are there certain keywords or phrases that would show them? |

usally just search for city state at google. alot of people that set up portals only have pages for major cities and usally cover all 50 states or a given country very generic. There is still lots of room to build city state ones and really dominate with good info on the area and businesses. Most are done by people that just have a interest in the area and dont do it for the money. Alot are run by the city or state themselves. HTH Shane Dolby |
