What is a good conversion rate?

I know that this question maybe like "What religion is better", but i need guidelines. So for example if i have 10,000 visitors a month and of those visitors 2% buy my product is that a high or low conversion rate?
I know that this depends on may things but still i would love some guidlines.

Thank you

It really depends on what type of site you're running.

With a non-account type ecommerce site 2% is a good conversion rate. Most ecommerce stores like that have a conversion rate of right around 1%.

However, with an account-based ecommerce store it's not unusual to have conversion rates of 10+ percent. Simply because of the fact that most visitors are return customers with accounts & only return when it's time to make a purchase. Once of our clients has a conversion rate of almost 11% on their site that's account-based.

2% is good, i wouldn't be dissapointed with this.

Ranges can range from 1%- 15% depending on the traffic type, the copy, the time of the week, + other factors.

2% is good, you should though still tweak and test it, to increase the conversion, by testing the headline, the sub head, the bullets etc.

I've seen as high as 10% for some of my amazon products. Clickbank not so much.

Like you said, it really depends on a number of factors such as what you're selling, the price, where the traffic came from, the ad copy, etc.

2% is not bad at all though...

Probably ok, but "depending on many things".

In the long run, the proportion of site-visitors who opt in and subscribe to your list is probably more important than the proportion of site-visitors who buy something, though.
