Hi guys. I know this forum focuses more on free sources of traffic but I want to experiment with Adwords a little more.

I'd really appreciate it if you guys could post your strategies to using Adwords.

Thanks!

I like to recommend Ultimate Guide To Google Adwords by Perry Marshall. You can pick it up at any major book store. I paid something like $17 for my copy, it's a great deal.

Perry goes into detail about all aspects of Adwords and how to keep your costs down. He also explains how Adwords can be used to test a niche or a product.

      It's good information!

i suggest you to keep a few hundred dollars just to experiment adwords! as its one of the most sophisticated advt. system in the world. and can cost you hell lot of money if done the wrong way!

Suggestion: do experiment with less budget before you throw in loads of cash.

    all the best!

I actuallly like using adwords to build my list - Personally, I feel any effort to use adwords without trying to do this is a bit of a waste.

        Quality score is king.
One small change can make a big difference.
Example, figure out what time of day/night your conversions are best
and pause all other times of the campaign.
        Why waste clicks.

George has some great free AdWords videos at Online4Offline in my sig. We put them together as part of a coaching program but ended up getting too busy with our consulting.

It's a great program to check out and the price is certainly right. I may have to do a WSO to give them to more people.

Further from that, test one thing at a time (eg: headline only) and pick the winner and come up with another new headline to split test. Grouping of similar keywords are important too.

It's true, if you don't do it correctly, Adwords can be really expensive. One way to work around this is to capture emails and build your list.
