My Fiverr Gig video got denied?

Hello,

I posted my first Fiverr gig which was approved. However, they denied the video I wanted to include and didn't give a reason why or suggestions on what it should look like.

My gig is basically taking up to 30 photos and making a nice video for things like birthday presents, family reunions, etc. Here's a link to the video. It's an example of the final product a buyer would get.

Can anyone here who creates Fiverr gigs tell me what I need to do with this video to get it approved?

Thanks.

Mike

I can't find the exact link for this, but I read a few days ago that at least 30 seconds of the video (I believe) needs to be of you (the seller) talking. I suppose as an introduction to the gig.

I'm looking for the exact link so don't quote me on this just yet, but I'm inclined to believe this is probably the reason it got denied.

It could be for copyright issues, such as the music, Disney/Universal, etc. Also, one of the requirements might be that it has to be 60 seconds or less. But I can't remember. Hope that helps!

Yes I think this was because of copyright issues. My videos got denied as well but because they were too long maybe you just have to shorten it.

      Thanks guys.

I'm using the music that Animoto supplies so copyright shouldn't be a problem (except through Fiverr's eyes). I thought I saw longer videos on other gigs as well. But I could shorten mine and maybe add some sort of "Fivver" tagline at the beginning or something.

I'll let everyone know how it goes.

  • And don't forget: the video has to say "exclusively on Fiverr".

Wow! Sounds like Fiverr is becoming awfully picky! I wonder, doesn't their TOS specify what is needed to be acceptable?

I took your suggestions (except for the music) and changed the video. It now looks like this.

I submitted it to Fiverr. We'll see what happens.

May be Animoto Copyright issues, or maybe the vid was too long....or possibly both. Good luck on the next gig you do though.

    All the best,

Bro, it could be the music. However, Disney loves to sue. That is a more likely issue.

They will deny your video unless you are actually in it talking from my experiences.

      Ok. Here's my update.

Fiverr DID ACCEPT my second video (shown a few messages above). All I did was add an "Exclusively on Fiverr" and a few other comments about the gig and it got accepted.

      So...

      1. Music didn't matter (although it was Animoto music...not sure if they'd accept it if it was something more popular and known).

      2. I didn't have to actually be in the video.

      3. I didn't need to have any of my own narration on the video.

I think just mentioning Fiverr in the video is the key.

Thanks again to all who replied.
