Hi,

I have just started my online business around 1 month ago and I am currently an affiliate for chris farrell membership site only.I don't think it is enough but I have just started. So should i continue generating traffic to my website or should i try other things as well.

Also,I have learnt forum marketing as one of the free traffic generation but how exactly does forum marketing works? Is it just posting your own free things on posts, answering people's threads or there are still more to that??

I am really confused as i saw a lot of people doing other things like squidoo lens etc and they are earning money.

Can someone give me some constructive advice on what should i do now?

Thanks!!

First thing would be not trying to directly sell in forum but to try and help at first until you become an established "expert" or whatever you want to call it. There is a technique to it for sure...the first thing would be in your forum signature, make them want to click your signature leading them to an optin page or you could try a page selling something but I prefer the optin...

It sounds like you're not sure exactly how internet marketing works yet and you are beginning to suffer from information overload. You might not be able to do this yet but I'll tell you an absolute truth is that the best way to make money online is to create and sell information products. But a good way to get started making money is affiliate marketing..and the first thing you want to do is start building a list..there is nothing better to be doing at this time. You are not going to make tons of money off squidoo lenses. You are going to make money by building a list, doing affiliate marketing to that list and then creating and selling information products..there is no other secret.

I highly suggest you get a coach. I've researched a lot of highly successful internet marketers and they all said the same thing. Their online success skyrocketed when they got in contact with a live human being who was already making money. It's rare to ever here about people trying out courses and then making money on their own. If it's possible for you to do this, then you should focus on getting traffic to the membership site by doing video marketing perhaps or forum marketing. And the way forum marketing works is you basically set up a signature link and in that link, it should lead to a squeeze page giving away a high quality free offer. And then once that person opts in to your squeeze page, you should lead them to a thank you page with their free offer. On the thank you page however, you should keep their free gift at the bottom and then lead them to your affiliate offer by putting it near the top of your thank you page. You would basically say: "to compliment your free offer, you should check out this other one which will really help you out" Everything has to be related though, you can't find an audience who wants to make money with article marketing and then lead them to a squeeze page where you are giving away a gift related to video marketing. So if your audience wants traffic, you lead them to a squeeze page offering a report on traffic strategies, and then on your thank you page you provide them with an affiliate offer focused on traffic. Sorry I know it's a lot to say but those are the basics. Hope that helps some

Also, a real quick note, in case you are driving a lot of traffic to a certain offer you are giving away and you are not making any sales, then that offer simply doesn't convert and you have to try something else. That's the beauty of building your own list through squeeze pages though, you can always market something to your list later on if certain product doesn't convert.

First place to start from is look at what you intend to do as a business. All successful businesses tend to have customers they know and understand. So start from researching a niche in demand. Once you find a niche, find solutions to their problems in the form of products. In your case look for appropriate affiliate products and services.

How you go about getting them on your list is a matter of preference. You may choose to build your list through offering free valuable products, or may prefer front end products for list building. It is all down to your preference and what works for you.

It looks as though many have touched on Forum Marketing pretty well above. The idea is to add value to the forum and to help people out. If you can do that and have a related signature or link in your posts that will further help the forum members and also promote your site or product then you can do well.

When I first started out I tried Clickbank, selling info products. I noticed the conversions to not be very attractive so I tried CPA (cost per action) marketing.

After joining a few of the major networks like Maxbounty, Copeac, and Neverblue I promoted CPA offers things really started to "click".

I cannot speak about your Chris Farrell membership promoting because I've never done that, but I can say that CPA can definately be one of the easiest ways to make money online.

And it can be one of the best things to do to start making passive income as a newbie!
