I'll also like to know if there exist a plugin that will allow the use of multiple themes, maybe that's a product idea

Yes, it is possible to have a seperate theme.
The only one that I know right now is Lance and Robert's product called
wordpress reseller. This plugin allows you to have different themes for different levels.

At the moment, they only offer it inside their huge package. It's called WP reseller.

You can do this with a new page added to your File Manager. Go to your Web Root for the domain and add new file. Name it with your page title (like below layout1)

then add the following php code.

<?php
/*
Template Name: layout1
*/
?>
add your content here...

then, go to WP Dashboard and create new page. Choose the new page layout as your PHP file name.

important - you must add your content to this PHP file and not on Wordpress.

There's really only two simple ways of doing this:

1. Create a new WP page template. This does require some technical knowledge.

2. Install a new version of WP in a folder you want the new theme to exist. Obviously, this is a bit of overkill for just 1 or 2 pages, but is a technique used a lot for sites with a sales page and blog or membership site attached on the backend.

I've done it a bunch of times to install Optimize Press on a directory of a site where I have another theme installed. For example, I have domain.com with a certain theme. Then I make a directory called offers or something, so domain.com/offers. Then I install Wordpress onto that directory and use the Optimize Press theme.

If you're not against a paid solution, check out WordPress Landing Pages by Premise.

It's a plug-in (by Copy Blogger Media) that can be used with any theme and which lets you style your landing page separately (just one of it's features).

Yes, it seems there is a plugin for everything. ^^

But it's relatively simple to create new Page templates with completely different design.
