Need more info. How many pages did it have? Did you have Adsense on it? What was the general topic? Check webmaster tools to see if you have any messages.

  • You need more content. Google doesn't like sites with just one page. you should have enough info and the content should be unique. And try to make strong high quality backlinks.

type into Google - site: "yourdomainname.com"

If nothing comes up for you, then you're likely de-indexed. I can tell you the chances of getting an answer from Google about it are about like a turtle jumping over a barn.

You CAN submit a request for reconsideration - here's a page you should look at:

There could many reason for this:

      • Duplicate content
      • Not enough pages/content etc..
      • Built way to many backlinks at once! (not good)

All these are reasons, and there are more. Check first by typing in google:

        site: mysite.com

if nothing returned back that mean you were de - indexed and probably entered to sand box.

I can't tell you exactly why without checking the website itself, it may get clues.

          who know's eh?...

Ouch. Been there/done that/bought the whole apparel store.

This is one reason why building an authority site (so you're not dependent upon Google) is definitely a Very Good Thing these days....it's lousy when you see all of your hard work being eaten by zombies.

Hope you can fix things soon!

I have had more than a thousand sites de-indexed and so I am very familiar with this subject. There are lot of reasons why your site may be de-indexed. I have lots of one paged sites and SEDO parked sites and so content is not really that much of an issue. My sites rarely get re-indexed now.

The chances are that your site was flagged for manual review and were either found to be of low quality or engaged in dubious linking practices. The issue would be why it was flagged for manual review in the first place and why did your site fail the test.

As far as automated de-indexing is concerned. This mainly apply to Turnkey adsense and also to sites whose content are auto-generated. For example, a few sites of mine that were de-indexed recently used an Amazon API script that generated tens of thousands of pages quickly so that the footprint got very large suddenly.

But without knowing your url, I cannot give a more precise answer.

Is it me or are some people not reading the OP.

He already knows how to see if he's indexed and he's checked and is saying his site is not there.

Telling him how to check the same thing he's already checked and reported back on is stupid.

Options (sorry, don't know what your name is), the comments asking for more information are right - without knowing what type of site is was there's no way for us to tell what happened.

It's a bit ironic that your sig file shows that you're an SEO company. Hopefully learning the answer to this will help your business and your clients.

Probably you have been building backlinks on just one page on your site. And maybe your doing it drastically, when google notices your site with drastic link building then you'd surely get de indexed. You need to slow it down this time. Try to follow the 8 posts in every 2 days. Say for example, submit articles to 6-8 article directories every after 2-3 days.
