Hello Warriors,

I'm a newbie at this. I need some advice on how to drive traffic to a blog. I'm promoting a product on trick photography and this is my first product I'm trying to promote. As a matter of fact this is my first blog. Please give advice on what I should do to make the this work.

Thanks

    hi webstravel

first thing you need to add in your blog is content which should be qualitative and informative about trick photography, keep writing photography tips and tricks and images into your blog on regular basis, then do some keyword research and start link building for promote your blog you will see a good change soon

Just checked your blog and product.

I think you have some great value there and considering it is your first blog, not bad at all. I am sure you will do well.

Promoting your product can be anywhere really, unless you have a lot of money you want to spend on Google PPC (which would be the fastest way to get visitors for your blog and product)

    Do some press releases
    Article marketing
    forum posting (like this one)
    blog commenting
get some gigs on fiverr.com to send your product page to their follwers on facebook and twitter.

just a few I can think off

You know, it's late, and the OP's question is a common one and I was ready to give a common answer.

However, I'd actually been thinking about this today. This is going to sound simplistic, it's no magic bullet, and it doesn't work overnight.

The best way to be successful on the Net is to give to it. Really contribute. Don't be in such a rush all of the time. Search the electronic landscape for a few minutes, and you'll find people with questions.

Heck, go to Yahoo Questions and have a field day. Yahoo Questions is actually a good example. I received a product with a really cool little trick that you could use to rank high in Yahoo via the questions section. Since the report came out, Yahoo implemented some quality standards.

Long before I read this report that showed how to game Yahoo, I would go to the Questions section and answer stuff. Not because I was trying to rank for anything, but because many of the questions are friggin' ridiculous.

They're comedy GOLD and for me, looking through them and writing silly things is like a comedic mindmap.

So, fast-forward a few months, and I want to use the information I got in this report. I was able to get a head-start on many of the other people that read the report but never contributed to Yahoo Questions. Since I had been contributing all along, I didn't have to wait to earn a certain number of points.

My example is meant to serve as a suggestion. I suggest, you look for the things you find fun first, and then find a way to turn them into traffic.

I say this because almost everything you can do online can be monetized. If you gravitate toward writing articles, awesome! Do you prefer making videos? Cool!

The ways to drive traffic are almost limitless. Take some time, read the forums, and when something makes sense to you, pounce on it.

You can always contact bloggers who are in the same niche as you and ask to write a guest post.

As an alternative, participate in forums about photography.

Target some low competitive keywords for your blog and build backlinks behind those keywords. This will help you to get more valuable traffic from search engines.then try other methods like guest posting, forum participation in similar niche etc.
