Money Spent on entertainment..

There are loads of sites which are sharing videos for free anyway. I am not too sure how well this would really work.

If most people wanted a movie, they would probably use torrents or a file sharing system to get it.

If the movie is old or has lost popularity, I think there are a few sites where you can watch them for free, or maybe even download them. I'm not missing that possibility out.

Last possibility would be to get it from a friend who might have it.

Those who have money would probably buy the DVD or rent, those who don't, see above.

Not being a pessimist but these are what I really feel about the market.

Unless you can offer it at a very competitive price? Or maybe include some special features or something, to make it more appealing to why people should purchase the DVDs from your site instead of buying the physical DVD or simply downloading it.

You could possibly make it into a movie membership site, get a database, and collaborate with the "movie people" (for lack of a better term). They want to sell more of their DVDs (online and physical), you bridge the gap. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out.
