Hi Guys,

Just got an offline client that wants me to run his ppc aswell as seo for him. Can anyone reccommened a good ppc platform that is particularly good for a dating product?
I've been told google and facebook work well for this, is there any truth in that.

I will really appreciate your contributions.

Thanks

Yea, I've heard ppl saying POF is pretty good for dating offers; my question is - how does it work? Do you buy banner spaces or?

Facebook is huge but to be honest, its not targeting anyone specific as people on facebook are all there for the same reason....? To socialise and be nosey

Plent of fish will work like a charm as its targeted, also Google PPC should be good but if your in familiar with it I would learn the ins and outs first.

As someone who is offering PPC and SEO services, shouldn't you already know the answer to this question?

Anyway, yes POF is really good because you don't have to spend a lot up front to have an ad on their site. Once you have spent a total of $1000 on smaller ads over any period of time, you can start running the bigger, premium ads. And they cost the same as running the smaller ads.

POF has very targeted traffic as well.

You gotta ask yourself where your future customers can be found now.

When you know the answer to that question, then you will know exactly where to advertise.

I am very active in this space. Adwords is good, but prepare to pay at least $1.00 per click to get on the first page for dating - even niche sites. POF is great for traffic, but not very good for sales. I can get hundreds of people to sign up to a dating site with a POF ad, but less than 1% will actually convert to a sale in my experience. Afterall, POF is a FREE dating site, people in that mindset typically aren't buyers. Facebook promotion is good if you know what you are doing. Setting up a fanpage and getting users to get involved is the way to go.
